I just met Jim. He and his wife Sue travel in their Escape several months a year - leaving behind winter weather up in the Mt Baker area. Really nice looking rig!

Three Casitas at the campground we are at in GA. One from Ohio, one from Wisconsin, and one with a Gum'mint plate, probably a military rental.

I've been on the road since the last weekend in December I've seen almost a dozen Casitas, 1 Scamp, 1 Egg Camper and a really cool UHaul.

I've met a few of the owners and its kind of cool how we all bond over our little fiberglass campers.

The reception we got from the owner of one Casita was certainly cool, more like cold !! This is generally not the case though, but most owners of fiberglass campers that we have met have never heard of this forum.

Just met Roger & Mary Holsten from Washington, with their 13' Trillium in Apache Junction, Az. today. It sure is neat to be able to get to know the people who share our fiberglass interests/life style.

The "home" forum for those rigs is also my home : ) for our AWD camper van... It is Expedition Portal there are some amazingly creative people there!

Oh but they sure are fun to drive if you have room for them. . . though as you also noted/pondered:

That is exactly the reason my wife and i did not go down that path. The rigs don't fit in our preferred Pacific Northwest forest trails!

Happy Trails.

Spotted a Li'l Snoozy in Oklahoma, eastbound on 412 E of Locust Grove on Fri the 15th about 3:15 pm. There is no mistaking a Snoozy when you see one on the road! Towed by a dark blue pickup.

Makes we wonder who that could have been.
I live 20 miles east of Locust Grove.

Saturday, March 2, 2013, spotted a tandem axle Boler headed westbound on I-10 by Picacho Peak (between Tucson and Phoenix, AZ). This about 11:30 a.m. There was some fiberglass at Picacho Peak State Park campground too..........a 15' or so Bigfoot and a Northern Lite (not a trailer, but molded fiberglass pickup camper). It was great weather to be out camping in my Scamp too!

I saw a 16" Casita pulled by a dark PU with bikes in the back about 20 miles east of Bakersfield Ca. today on Highway 178 in the Kern Canyon.
They were in a pullout. I wanted to stop and visit but I would have been late for a Drs. appointment.
I hope they're not dissappointed by the big puddle that used to be Lake Isabella.

A 1990 Big Foot TT pulled into the RV park on the Oregon Coast we call home (www.astoriaoregonrvpark.com). My wife and i stopped by and said hi to the owner who was setting up camp. He and his his wife were heading north to their home in the Seattle area. He said his wife is a member here.

LOL... There was no snow on the roads yesterday. Although, plenty of snow piled around everywhere else. It started snowing again this morning.

And in 2 weeks we will need to get our Scamp (Taj MaTent) out of 5 mo of winter storage. Not sure where we will put it until all of the snow melts. There is currently a large snow pile in it's summer parking stall at the house.
