I just arrived home from my visit to BC. Left home Aug 11th, drove through Mich's UP and stopped for an overnight at St Malo where I met Rick Mooyman and friends preparing for this year's Manitoba's
Fiberglass and Vintage Camper
Rally. At that point I had already seen 2
Scamp 5th and a
Boler. But like Scouter Dave, with driving and being my own co-pilot made taking notes difficult. I drove west through Manitoba, Sask. and Alberta. Saw more FGRV's going east....Bolers, a 13'
Trillium and what I think was an Outback. I started into the mountains on Saturday Aug 16th. Beautiful day and everyone was out for a drive in the mountains! I lost count of the FG campers I saw, Bolers, Trilliums, Escapes, Scamps and some I couldn't id. I did this same drive in 2007, towing my 13'
Trillium and did not see one other FG camper.
I was in Keremeos on Aug 27th and met a couple and their daughter stopped for hot corn on the cob at a fruit stand. I'm sorry I have forgotten their names. Told them about FGRV which I'm sure they will look up. They had the
Boler only a year and were looking forward to doing their own mods to make more theirs.
I am certainly impressed with how popular these little campers have become. And so nice to see them being taken care of and appreciated.
