We just got home from ten days and five states, from Denver to Lake Tahoe and back via Utah, Nevada, California, Nevada, Wyoming, Colorado....Our favorite game to play was spot the fiberglass camper. In all we saw 10 on our trip:
1. EB I70 in Utah near mm 103, 13ft Scamp towed by a dark colored SUV
2. Ward Mountain Rec Area, Nevada, 16ft Scamp
3. Austin, Nevada 13ft Casita, towed by a black truck with topper
4. Near Cold Springs, NV EB on Hwy 50, 13ft Casita towed by a red truck
5. NB at Inspiration Point, Lake Tahoe, CA, Scamp fifth wheel towed by a Toyota
6. DL Bliss Campground, Lake Tahoe, CA, 16(17?) ft. Casita
7. Granite Flats Campground, Hwy 89 south of Truckee, CA, Scamp 16ft.
8. WB I-80 west of Battle Mountain, NV, Casita 16ft towed by a white truck
9. Ryan Park Campground, Medicine Bow Mountains, Wyoming, 16ft Casita towed with Subaru Tribeca (We camped right next to this one, but weren't able to get over to say hello!)
10. WB Hwy 40 between Laporte and Ft. Collins, Colorado, 16ft Casita, towed by white truck.

13' Scamp in traffic accident - Kentucky (not our Scamp)

Today, 8/4, westbound on I-24 near Fort Campbell exit. We were travelling eastbound and only had a quick view.
It appeared as if trailer and tow vehicle had become separated and were sitting in swale on side of road.. Both upright. Car had damage the length of driver's side. Scamp body looked as if possibly been detached from frame, couldn't confirm that though.
Long traffic jam-up behind accident on roadway. Emergency vehicles in attendance. Hope everyone safe and sound.

Nay couldn't be - we hear it a lot here that no accidents ever happen

Hi: Phil 4500... Wb. 401 today took 2& 1/2 hrs to cross Metro Toronto. That's after we detoured an RV & towed vehicle fire. Just lucky to get off at Brighton exit and use #2 hwy west to Colborne and north to The Big Apple.

Hey Alf we shall have to talk next month about alternate routes from Ottawa to your home! How long was the whole trip home? Did you stop and shop at the Big Apple?

That was ours! We had a nice trip to Grand Haven, the kids love camping right next to / on the beach.

And a bonus was meeting Floyd when we stopped in Morris, IL for supper. Thanks for introducing yourself, Floyd!

Just spotted Casita, I believe they're 17 footers? Right here at 4 Mile Creek State Park, Porter, NY on Lake Ontario.

Saw a wide-body Burro pulled by a silver SUV on highway 260 in Pinetop, AZ this afternoon. First one I've seen in person, but headed the other way, so no chance for a close-up look.

Crossed paths with a Scamp 16 about 2pm today that was west bound on CA 76 right around Lake Henshaw towed by a white and brown Ford full sized P/U. We were heading home with the Casita and waved but didn't see if they did because of the sun on their windshield.
