Spotted a Casita pulled by a white SUV headed East on I-10 just East of Beaumont TX yesterday. We were headed West in our Scamp.

I reported sighting one a few months ago, actually in the campsite next to us, and was told they didn't exist. An internet search confirmed they were made for a few years. Later saw another.

Beige Boler in Missoula
Saw a lovely old Boler in Missoula 2 days ago as I was making my way south to get back to Idaho. I was hoping we would be stuck in traffic side-by-side, so we could talk trash while waiting for the lights to change. It's pretty amazing the kinship you feel for others when you have a little fiberglass trailer and you see a similar rig on the road. It's family! Alas, the little beige beauty got ahead of me and went downtown while I went straight on to the Lolo pass.

Having not read through this entire thread, I have to ask: how often do people realize, because of this thread, that they saw each other?
I passed a 4Runner pulling a Casita on I70 just east of Green River today. Then saw another what I think was a 4Runner pulling a Casita coming out of a gas station in Green River 10 minutes later. Different rigs.

Not often, but it does happen. See posts #3395, 3398, 3399. It's kind of cool when it does happen. Guess that's what keeps it going!

Spent the weekend at Gulf Shores State Park, Gulf Shores, Alabama. Nearly 500 sites packed out Saturday night. Everything from huge Class A's with full-side slide-outs towing Suburban-size runarounds to pup tents. A couple beside us drove a Prius and pitched a small two-person tent. Said they used to camp on motorcycles and thought the Prius gave them tons of room for their travel gear! Only two other fiberglass RVs. A beautiful 2015 Escape 5th wheel from Louisiana towed by a GMC Sierra and a brand new Casita pulled by a Tacoma. The latter couple was from Connecticut, had just picked up the new Casita in Texas and was headed to Florida to visit family before returning to Connecticut. Beautiful weather all weekend...

Did a double take today when I saw a Casita 16' parked at a small equipment shop in my one traffic light hometown. Going up there tomorrow when they're open to find out why it's there!

Drove through the campground at Henry Horton State Park in Chapel Hill TN this weekend and saw a 13 Scamp. It was pulled by a small SUV, I think it was maroon. The park is 5 minutes from our house, and my wife is afraid I'm on a watch list somewhere because I like to drive through and just look at campers.

I spotted a Trillium passing through Grand Haven a little after noon, South bound on 31 in front of the Taco Bell. My wife laughed at me and said I looked like a kid on Christmas morning. I suspect she was right.

Yesterday I saw my first Escape 19 on the road, towed by a silver Toyota Highlander with Iowa plates. It was headed west near the Seward, Nebraska exit on Interstate 80. (I was there for a graduation and merged on to the highway behind them!)

We drove 1300 miles from Mississippi to Indiana and back and didn't see a single fiberglass trailer on the road. We did however run into about 20 Oliver's at the factory in Hohenwald.
