We got sighted today - someone stopped by the house and asked my wife if we were selling our 16ft scamp. Startled my wife, and unfortunately for the scamp hunter we are not selling our dear egg.

What is it?

I saw this nice looking unit on I-64 west bound last Wednesday (March 1) while stuck in a rainy day traffic jam in Charleston WVa. Got this picture as the traffic jam broke up and as we pulled ahead I noticed that there was no front opening of any kind, just a skylight sort of thing in the top front. Does anyone know what it is?

Casita has a bathroom and storage across the front, so no front window. Instead there's a small vertical one behind the toilet you can see on the street side of the trailer. The thing on top sounds like it might be the vent for the bathroom.

That appears to be a Casita Liberty Deluxe, probably a 17'with decals removed. The front bath on the longer Casitas preclude any opening on the front. What you describe as a 'skylight sort of thing' may be the bathroom ventilation fan or it may well be the Maxxair cover for the Fantastic Fan in the front part of the trailer, ahead of the AC. Also appears that trailer has an awning installed. We have a 2001 17' Spirit Deluxe & the pic could be ours except we tow with a red, 2008 Toyota Tacoma, 4dr, 4wd P/U with a 'hi rise' Leer camper shell on back, & we have a Camco cover (from Wal Mart) over our Fantastic Fan, & of course we weren't in WVA this week. Our Spirit Deluxe has a window forward of the shown rear side window, where our side dinette is located.

Little late posting this, but I've been busy relaxing and traveling around Florida and Georgia!

On Feb. 17th I saw a 16 or 17 foot Casita on I-75 a little ways north of Tampa. I was headed northbound with my Scamp 13, they were headed southbound with their Casita. There was also a Casita 17 near Inverness, Fl.

Oh, also, a TON of these eggs around Sebring a little earlier in Feb.

We were in West Virginia with our Casita, but it was March 4, Spent Dec, & Jan. in Florida and Feb in Georgia. Did see a few other fiberglass campers on the road.

I took a day trip to Devil's Den SP in Arkansas today, and in the CG I spotted a Bigfoot. First one I've seen in person. It looked nice!

Spotted a SCAMP at the intersection of State Road 70 and County Rd 721, in the parking lot of the Baptist Church at the turn off to the Brighton Seminole Reservation. About 2 pm-ish

Just went out for a walk. There is a Trillium 1300 with Michigan tags parked next to the Library in Croswell, MI at 1230 PM. It is attached to a silver Chevy Equinox. Thought of going into the Library to see if I could find the owners, but didn't. Haven't seen it around town before.

Double sighting twice!

My husband saw a Casita and a Scamp this morning heading north on I-65 toward Birmingham, AL. 45 minutes later, I was travelling I-459 east of Birmingham, and saw the same two. Both were pulled by blue trucks.

There was a HUGE fiberglass rally in Montgomery this past weekend, I'm guessing they were leaving that.

Saw an Escape 19 attached to a white Jeep Cherokee heading East on I-70 near the I-76 exit in the Denver area on March 23rd at about 3pm. Both the Escape and the Jeep looked brand new.

Saw a 16' Scamp in Jamestown, ND yesterday. It was parked on a street in a residential area. There were no decals on it but it looked pretty new. Hooked up to a pickup. I didn't see anyone around or I would have stopped.
