We almost NEVER see another egg in Alabama! We were so excited today when we saw a Casita (16' or 17') traveling north on I-65, a few miles out of Birmingham near exit 267. Happy trails, whoever you are!

Sighted this morning on my way to work (some of you MUST remember what that is, LOL?) I spotted a (Grey n Red) 1958 Edsel 4 door wagon headed eastbound on Lougheed Highway (route #7) just at the intersection of Old Dewdney Trunk Road and Lougheed Highway.

Following faithfully along behind was a '70's Boler. Possibly headed west to partake of the "Blossom Run"(??) in B.C.'s interior???

Donna, are you coming, this is BIG!!!!

On I-5 while we were heading south we spotted heading north, one trilliam with a red TV, a newer Casita with a white truck and a scamp but forget what the TV was. Thursday must have been the day for FGRVs to move as we usually don't see any. We flashed our lights and waved.

Today, 11 AM, as I was heading north on I5 just north of Medford, saw a Casita 16 (maybe 17) heading south. 900 miles and one egg!

The next closest sighting was a Bigfoot camper, around Roseburg, that one going north.

Around 11 am saw a 16 Scamp headed north to Florence, this was on 101 about 5 miles south of Florence. Made me wonder if they are headed to Honeyman state park for the weekend.

Today, about 5:00 pm, heading south on QEII highway at the Leduc overpass. It was a green Trillium, didn't notice what was towing it, I was too excited seeing a Trillium on the road.

It's becoming apparent that - compared to some places - we live and travel in dense FiberglassRV territory. On my 10-day trip recently, I saw several "eggs", which I've come to expect. Last year I think I saw at least one each of Boler 13', Boler 17', Trillium 13', Escape 17, Bigfoot 1500 series, Bigfoot 2500 series, and something else (my memory fades...) in a single drive from Calgary to Edmonton (about 300 km or 200 miles) along Highway 2 (now officially the Queen Elizabeth II Highway - the QEII mentioned earlier).

On this trip, on the road or camping:
  • Two small eggs northbound on 97 through Penticton, I think on Tuesday May 22. I only caught a glance with a largely obscured view, but they were likely Trillium 1300's, one in original colour and the other a very shiny black, both in company of a tiny Airstream (presumably 16').
  • One Boler 1300 in the Paul Lake park campground the morning of May 28 - it was way too early to disturb the occupant to say hello
  • A Scamp 13' in a campground... I think in the Nk'mip campground at Osoyoos mid last week. Scamps are really rare here in Canada; I've only seen one before, and he was from New York state.
  • I only saw a couple more Boler 1300s on the road on this trip, but all those roads blur together and I no longer remember where.
Also on this trip, but just parked:
  • There is a Cadet resident near Osoyoos, BC, most recently at a property on the west side of Highway 97.
  • Boler 1300s are common enough parked in yards in both Alberta and BC that I don't think it makes sense to list them.
  • Reace's Escape 17 and Escape 5.0 proudly act as Escape Trailer billboards on the south side of the highway at Chilliwack... I had not seen them before, although I assume they're the pair on the Escape Trailer home page, in a slightly different parking location. No on-road Escape 5.0 sightings for me yet...
And an unusual sighting: a Dolphin showed up at a residence in Sherwood Park, AB this year. I've never seen one before, although a friend of mine owns one.

Unlike Brian, I don't see the eggs often in my area. But yesterday in Roseville, CA, at the corner of Foothill and Baseline (Hope I got it right, we were looking for a destination at the time!) there was a 13' Scamp being towed by a dark suv sorta vehicle. I got so excited by the egg that I didn't check out the tug!

Hey, I finally had a sighting (unless you count following the hubby driving the UHaul for 5 hours today)! I saw a 16 foot Casita with PA plates on 270 North in St. Louis on Saturday about 4 PM. I even took a picture with my cell phone camera while following it that I might post if I get busy and download it. I was the black VW Beetle following and passing you while honking and waving.

Whilst at work on Friday morning I spotted a silver/grey painted 17footer(?) in PoCo B.C.

Closer examination showed it was owned by fellow Canadian Street Rod Association member Terry Denomme over here on the mainland from Vancouver Island possibly to promote his magazine Hot Rods & Classics.

Today, you were going westbound on I-20 in Texas. Looked like a 17' Casita (either Spirit or Freedom; I cannot tell from the outside) being tugged by a "Pewter" Chevy Silverado.

There was also one in storage in Benson, Arizona.

Saturday, on a quick trip to Idaho, on highway 20 in eastern Oregon, very eastern Oregon, we spotted a group of several eggs about a mile off the road and then saw a Scamp and shortly a Casita heading in the direction of the gathering. I sure wish we would have had the time to stop and visit but we were flying. 918 miles round trip in 16 hours.
