Saw an older model Scamp 13' at Frozen Head State Park in east TN over Labor Day weekend. Beautiful park, by the way.

3:15 ferry to Port Townsend from Whidbey- two Casitas, both 16 or 17. Also something you don’t see everyday, a large HiLo. (Haven’t seen one in years.) I was the small Escape in the campground.

Sightings Sunday
On Sunday, we saw a Lil' Snoozy around Hermitage, TN headed east on I-40 around 12:30 pm. First one I've glimpsed in person. Then a 16'-ish Casita pulled by a red, four-door truck with a topper on I-24 east in KY around 1:30.

Edisto Island Beach State Campground
Wow, I hit the jack pot! Saw 3 Casitas (2 - 16' and 1 -17') and 2 - 13' Scamps! Spoke to the owner of the 17' Casita. It was a 2016 and he really liked it. Never did see the other Casita owners while we were there. One of the Scamps was a 1977 vintage and a work in progress. The people said they bought it a year ago; absolutely love it and are working on it a little at a time making it their own. The other Scamp was a 2014. The couple's wives of the 2 Scamps were sisters and camped everywhere together! Really nice people!

Sightings!
A different kind of jackpot here...
I came up behind an Oliver Elite- the small one with unusual tire track graphics and a large solar panel on top- pulled by a Nissan Pro-X crew cab. Decided to follow it into a shopping plaza to discreetly snap a photo. It was a sharp-looking rig, and I've only seen one or two before from a distance.
Instead of the photo, I ended up talking to the owner, and got more than I bargained on.
He introduced himself as an owner of Oliver Travel Trailers, now retired. His kids are minding the shop, and he was on a hunting trip to several locations in the western states. He was very humble and unpretentious.
Sorry to disappoint, but I didn't ask for a picture or a tour (or a discount), just wished him a successful hunt and congratulations on building a fine product.

That would be John Oliver. He’s a great guy and goes hunting a lot. He camped with a bunch of us Ollie owners at Quartzsite last January. Mike

We pulled into Mother Neff State Park just south of Waco, TX and on the way to our site we say two Casita’s, a Bigfoot and two Scamp 5th Wheels all in adjacent sites. Is this a mini Texas fiberglass rally? Mike

Sure sounds like it! And,if not, you can make it one. Go say "howdy" to your FG neighbors.

Just spent two weeks in North Central Washington cruising around. Camped next to/saw a Scamp, a Casita, two Escape 19s, an Escape 21, an Escape 5.0, an Oliver, a Trillium, and a Bigfoot. Didn't speak with any owners though.
Steamboat Rock SP, Wanapum SP, Pearrygin Lake SP, Alta Lake SP, Etiat City Park, but can't remember who was where. Saw a couple Casitas on the road too.
FG everywhere! Got a lot of comments on the Burro - "it's so cute!" being the most common.

Spotted an Oliver Elite II pulled by a Chevy pickup passing through Show Low, AZ yesterday. Headed to Quartzsite, perhaps?

AT&T Fiberglass Work Trailer
I wonder what happens to these when the company takes them out of service. And I wonder who molds them.

That's a unique design. If/when you see again, might be good to ask some questions on where they come from. Maybe a mobile work shop?

There’s at least one other company making a similar trailer (Pelsue, I believe). Some of them are very heavy duty- probably too heavy to be practical for a travel trailer conversion considering how small they are.
As Bill says, they’re common in the communications industry for splicing fiber optic cables.

Two Sightings
Saw a small Bigfoot in storage in Madison, AL last weekend and a Lil Snoozy pulled by a white Tundra headed north on I-24 in TN this weekend. Trailers are coming out of winter hibernation down here!

So many I stopped caring the tow vehicle and license plate state...Escapes, Scamps, Casitas, an Oliver, and a Bigfoot 17 with some custom decals and “weighmyrock.com” on the side. I haven’t checked the website..
All this in the Moab/Torrey/Escalante area.
