We saw two scamp campers at Yellow River State Forest in Iowa August 7&8. We also saw a scamp 5th wheel at William O'Brien State Park in Minnesota today.

Near Mono Lake ,CAlif.

Yesterday I saw 3 fiberglas trailers within an hour or so as I drove from Wendover, Utah to Ely,NV and up 395 in Calif.near the Tioga entrance to Yosemite. I think the first one was on NV Hwy 6, I think a Scamp 13' heading east to Ely. Kayaks and bikes and waving as I passed.! The other two looked like Scamps also as they flashed by, heading north, I was heading south. Lots of people out, campgrounds pretty full , esp for mid week. Anyone we know ???

Sightings!

Great day for fiberglass sightings in northern AZ! Overtook an older Casita 17 pulled by a newer Ridgeline headed west on I-40, then an Airstream Nest pulled by a Tacoma and a Meerkat (okay, not all-molded) headed east. Finally, a lifted Bigfoot 25 behind a Silverado HD at the Flagstaff Walmart. Add the Bigfoot 17.5 that’s always parked behind one of the gift shops in Holbrook.

Just a day trip for us, sadly.

Right in front of our house on route 203, Chatham NY. Two cars pulled off on the side of the road, one towing a 13 foot fiberglass camper, pink bottom, white top, small window in the door. Would it have been a Scamp or Boler. They drove away just after I saw them. Maybe they came from the vintage rally in Copake NY. We did not go this year.

Sighted in Show Low, Arizona while waiting for tire repair, a late model Casita 17D pulled by a Honda Passport using an Anderson WDH. Nice looking rig with Colorado plates. First of the new Passports I’ve seen towing.

Only 6 cylinder for now, same chassis and drivetrain as the Ridgeline and the Pilot.

My 4 cylinder Ford Ranger has more HP and torque than my V8 Dodge Dakota. 270/310 vs 235/295. It pulls my Escape 19 easier than the Dakota pulled my 16' Scamp.

Spotted a nice Ventura in Ladysmith BC

On May 2, 2021 I spotted what looked like to be a very well preserved Ventura being towed by a medium size car in Ladysmith BC on Vancouver Island.

They were crossing Highway 1 onto Ludlow Road down towards the waterfront. I was half-a-block away but close enough to tell that the Ventura looked exceptional.

I was relieved to get home and find our own Ventura safely in the driveway!

I spotted a Casita 13 up in our northern climes earlier this month.

Judging by the map on the spare tire cover, it appears this little gem ranges through the west from Texas to Washington state and Alaska.

i saw an older scamp leaving my brothers' neighborhood on Frances Rd in larkspur/kentfield (Marin County, north of SF). not sure which model but it had a full sized roof top A/C. didn't really see the tow vehicle other than some sort of older small to middling sized SUV, as I was simultaneously trying to identify the trailer, and squeeze past some fat cars parked on a very narrow street. i was in a late model white Mercedes wagon.
