HI Alf,
yes we hit the migeratory flock in the sun belt as the weather was great and the only other place that we have seen so many fiberglass trailers is at the Oregon Gathering.
I added one more to the list that I forgot.

Bumped into our own M Black with her really nice U-haul at a rest stop in Indiana.
This was the first time I ever met a member on the road. It was pretty exciting.
We were on our way to a wedding in Indianaplois and she was on her way to the Brown County gathering.
I am so jealous! Imagine she got to go camping!
Nice lady.
I hope you all had fun.

Southbound on I-5 in Washington, we passed a scamp 16(?) pulled by a dark blue pickup about mile post 40. Both of us waved.

I'm going to issue a challenge. We've been out over a full month in the last ninety days and haven't been spotted in this thread.
We won't be going quite as frequently with the kids back in school but we'll still be out a good bit over Winter. (SW Winter we keep going and don't store em, sorry Northern neighbors)
I'll make a $10 donation to Fiberglass RV, the first person that sights us on this thread....
Anyone else want to join me on this challenge?

I'm in! Between last September 24 and September 30 I covered about 1800 miles in the Colorado Rockies, Arizona, Las Vegas Nevada and then back to Cal. I was returning from Denver with my new to me 13' Scamp. I spent the day and one night at the Mesa Verde National Park where I saw a Casita, the only egg of entire trip.

We have over 25,000 miles on our 2006 trailer mostly on the west coast and have never been spotted. We will join the challenge. We also are up and down the western states all winter.

....really weird. I (a Canadian) spend quite alot of time in the N.Western U.S.A.. mostly Washington and have stopped to 'neighbor' with over 2 dozen glass egg owners and not one has been a member here.

Left NW Fla. early Sep, drove to Charleston, SC, then to Mi, thence eastrly to Conway, NH, thence southwesterly to home (+/- 5500 mi) saw two Scamps the entire trip. Passed an older 13 ft. in NC (?) and stopped at Shoneys in VA and saw another 5er there. Got lots of looks and comments along the way tho.
(Note the "scrivners" lingo in the directions--used to be a surveyor in my younger days)

Going to work this morning I passed a Casita pulling on to Route 6 near Fork Union. Late for work or I would have waited for you at the stop sign.

Talking

10:35 AM today. I was driving southbound on I-5 at the State Route 54 interchange. You were northbound, pulling a very shiny Bigfoot 17 footer. I couldn't see the tow vehicle due to the divider wall.

6:00PM today, headed south on I-5 about one hour north of Portland, a 16' or 17' Casita, being pulled by a dark green minivan.

2 bigfoots and 1 old burro (very small) sighted on I-5 traveling south Friday evening at Wilsonville Oregon. A friend saw them and phoned me immediately, asking, "Eric, are you missing a rally?"

Anyone have information about them?

Last week, during our stay on the Nachez Trace Parkway CG at Meriwether Lewis Monument, we spied a Burro/U-haul parked at an RV Park ... with an advertising banner of some sort wrapped around it. The wind had 'rearranged' the banner so you couldn't read it, but the FG trailer looked to be in good shape - wonder if anyone ever camps in it?

In the neighborhood of friends we are visiting near Mtn Home, AR, we see a 2-tone grey/silver Boler and a Casita ... neither one looks like it has been taken out for any adventures lately. Too bad their owners are missing out on Egg-ventures!

Take care, L 'n D

Thumbs up

OK. What happens when I am the one that was sighted?

The Red Subaru Forrester who honked and waved Emailed me later to own up to it.

But who was that in the HUGE black Mercedes who tooted and waved as he passed me on the southbound I-5 bypass lanes at the I-5/I-805 merge?

Last week I spotted my first Escape trailer on the move! It was just before noon headed north on 101 in Coos Bay,OR, pulled by a white Honda mini van type TV.

And around noon on Oct 21 we spotted an eerie near-convergence of Scamps in Half Moon Bay, CA. We had driven hundreds of miles and our only FBG sighting was a single Bigfoot... Then while walking near an intersection on Hwy 1 we saw a 5th wheel headed east, a 16 footer headed south, and another 16 footer headed north, all within one minute!

Today in ABQ I saw what I think was a Compact Jr. Trailer was on Academy turning into the shopping center across the street from Garduno's..I think a Whole Foods/Radio Shack/McD's in that center. Anyway, it was cool - but unfortunately I didn't have time to follow them and say hi. Was a bit before 9am.
