Today, at 7:30pm

Northbound on I-5 between Mchord AFB and Tacoma, WA, a 13' Burro behind a little white pickup with a white canopy. Looked like there were ladders or some kind of work-related equipment on top of the canopy.

My wife's aunt and uncle came to visit her mom last night. Her uncle saw my Casita and mentioned that there is a 13 foot model of some type of fiberglass trailer for sale at a house near his own. If I can find the time, I'm going to drive over there to see it this week.

Who knows? If it's a fixer-upper, I may buy it just for the heck of it. If not, I'll post pertinent contact information on the board for anyone who's curious about it.

Heh heh.

You don't see a lot of them. Because there aren't a lot of them.

Morning all, This past weekend we saw a Casita on I-5 headed south in the Medford area. We were on our way to Cresent City Ca. For a little R&R. We were also giving the new roof vent a try out, and did we try it out! It rained all the way there, then Sat. was a very nice day, until the evening, then it rained most of the night. It also rained most of the way home. At the funky park we stayed at, a Scamp hy-bred showed up,late Sat. night. It was a 13 ft. It had a home built front bunk,I guess, sort of like a fifth-wheel, and a small room,or storage,or restroom?, on the rear. I never saw the owner, but it had Arizona plates. He also had one of those maps for showing where you've been, and it was full except for 3 states!! Alaska and part of Mexico were on there too...... Do you think they are retired?!!

Randy and Renee,

I will have my 1978 Trillium 1300 down in Central Point the last weekend in July - there's a 4 day dog show at the Fairgrounds that weekend. So you can get a free and easy egg sighting there, as well as free entry to the dog show :-)

Thursday, May 11th - I-80 WB just east of Reno, NV around 1:00 pm. Nice, squarish (Stream, Trillium, Big Foot?) - traffic was so hectic, did not see what tug was.

Friday, May 19th - US395 SB in Reno. Nice Compact JR/Beachcomber type (did not get a good look at the tug) heading for fun in the sun! Were you on your way to Cambria?

Hope you were having fun! LdB

May 22nd, today, at 3pm, a Casita being tugged by a pick up with at least 2 canoes or kayaks, right AT Kramers Junction (Hiway 395 @ the 58) in So. Cal.

I was gassing up, you went north thru the intersection, still on the 395 and pulled over.. I was going the other direction, so I didn't cross.

As I speak (May 23, 11:51 p.m.) a blue Boler sitting right outside my office window in Durango, CO (2nd and 7th). Hooked up to a gray minivan, British Columbia plates. Very vintage looking Boler, no visible propane tank.

On the Victoria Day long weekend, in some provincial park in southern interior B.C. (sorry, they're all starting to blend together) we saw an extremely nice looking 13' Boler, I think silver over dark grey, with the lower colour matched to the apparently pristine older Caprice towing it. No one around, so we couldn't say hi...

Campers beside us Tuesday night (May 16) told us about a Boler they saw in Banff park the day before, again in excellent condition and towed by an older Caprice, but this time the Boler was a B1700 in the same original tan colour as ours - when they pulled in our van was not there and they wondered if they had run across the same people.

On this trip, this was the only egg we saw camping. There were many Trilliums and Bolers parked at homes and storage yards, and a few Bigfoots (all 17' plus) on the road. One Bigfoot was stopped on the TransCanada eastbound near Canmore with a tow truck - I hope that worked out okay.

Saw on Highway 23, in Marshall, Minnesota, a blue car pulling an Egg! I couldn't identify the brand of the camper, but, it looked like a 16 foot Lovebug. I had my red cadillac with the Lovebug in tow. Nice to see you!

Dual cargo boxes, front and rear. Looks to be a bit more than I'd like hanging off the back, unless it's used for lawn chairs and the like.

On Thursday, May 25, at Devils Lake State Park (Baraboo, WI) I saw a 16' Casita, 16' Scamp, and Trillium 1300. The Casita belonged to the Campground Host but nobody home at the time. The other two FG's had large groups eating supper so I didn't bother them.

Thursday June 1 around 12:30 pm, a nice and shiny Casita heading towards the outer Cape on rt. 6 here on Cape Cod Massachusetts - I think it was towed by a pick-up truck, but it went past me pretty quick. Nice and clean! Was it you?

A brand new Scamp with paper ID in the back window being towed by a silver mini van at the Cerritos Auto Club. By the time I got parked and walked over to it it was driving away. It was very shiny!
