Today on the way home from California we saw a blue pickup pulling what looked like a 13 foot scamp just inside the border of Oregon. Then a Casita about Roseburg heading southbound, we waved and waved. Then we saw one parked in an RV park near Glendale Oregon.

Hi Mac,

A truly lovely companion! What kind is he? We got our pup from a rescue and he looks JUST like this (and this is his preferred way to travel as well!)

Thanks,
Crystal
she's a Louisiana Catahoula Leopard dog... (state dog of Louisiana)... yes, she's a good companion!

We just returned from a little two-night trip to St. Joseph Peninsula State park and were pleased to see a 17' Casita Liberty pull in near us on the second day. Chuck and his wife bought it in March and have already put on 13,000 miles! They were on their way home to Key West and were hopping from one state park to another. They said they have stayed at all the Florida camping state parks except for three - quite an accomplishment! On this two-week long trip, they only saw three molded fiberglass trailers, a 17' Casita in Pensacola and two EggCampers (including ours). That is amazing, considering there's probably a thousand Casitas for every EggCamper. (BTW, theirs was the only molded fiberglass trailer we saw.)

Again, in Quartzsite at 3:30 this afternoon, an Escape tugged by a blue pick up with matching cap, westbound on Main street and Central.

My wife and I saw two Casitas nose-to-tail northbound on Highway 79 near (I think) Aguanga on Saturday, Nov 21 at 1pm.

We're still new to this and were so focused on determining the type of trailer that we completely ignored the tow vehicles and didn't even wave!

We were southbound with our Compact Jr in tow.

Later in the day we were on S22 at the vista point overlooking Borrego Springs when we saw another Casita go by headed down the hill. When we checked in at the Palm Canyon campground we found both this Casita, owned by Kevin, and another owned by Bob. We had a good time visiting with the owners and learning many things about them, the Anza-Borrego desert, and other areas of the country.

Suprise, suprise!

Thanksgiving morning, deep in residential Pinellas County, Largo, FL; a white Burro or U-Haul turned South on Highland Ave from Rosery.

Of course we had to follow it! It turned out to be a Burro towed by a Ford with a Chevy engine (sorry I forget the year)

Nice rig! I love it when folks include photos with their sightings

I'd say it's a Burro.

And, Clive, I just want you to know that in my mind all of your posts are "read aloud" in Clive's Bengtsson's classic accent (Of course, being from northern Minnesota, it doesn't sound all that unusual )

Yesterday as I was departing after a pre-holiday visit in Chandler, what should I spy just 2 doors down but a lovely Casita. This being Arizona, the front plate can be anything and this one read "Ray and Ellen". My grey-matter started cooking to remember which FGRV member lives in Chandler. During this pondering process, a gentleman appeared at the driver's side window - startled me a bit, but this was "Ray" of Ray & Ellen. Turns out we'd met at last year's Dome Rock Rally near Quartzsite, and we had a nice if brief visit in the middle of the road! We're all planning to attend in 2010. Regards, L 'n D

At Jane's Island State Park in Maryland, we saw a nice brown egg Unfortunately, I'm not sure of the type, Boler or Trillium I think. Nobody was there when we went over to say hi. And when we returned, alas it was gone! The camp host told us the owner had mentioned seeing our Casita but didn't find anyone there when he went over to say hello. Our egg-paths crossed but we didn't get to meet. I'll remember to take a picture next time.

December 7, Monday. A 13' Scamp sitting in front of an RV repair shop on highway 92 south of Sierra Vista, AZ. It looked so lonely...

Looked to be an Oliver or Eggcamper with a Kingdome Sat rig, on Friday 4th thru 6th staying at Deadhorse state park in Cottonwood AZ. We were just down from you in the Scamp, but never saw anyone out or about. Pretty cold weather.

QUARTZSITE - a day or two ago, we saw a Boler painted blue to match the street rod tug - awesome!!! They were northbound on Central Avenue (AZ 95) and we were wondering if there were missing a Show 'n Shine" in Lake Havasu City or ??? I'm fairly certain it is someone from the forum ... chime in and tell us about your travels, eh? Regards, L 'n D
