Spotted some fiberglass on Monday, September 12, 2011. First one was a Casita parked in a backyard just outside of Cortez, Co. Next was a 13' Scamp with a front bathroom in the Taco Bell drivethru in Cortez, CO. Next was an older 13' Scamp that pulled into our campground in Towoac, CO with NV plates. Didn't get a chance to talk as it was late, and I had to head out early for home this morning. Were any of these you?

Cool Scamp 5'er Walpole, NH on 9/11/2011

As I was towing my Scamp 13 home from a weekend trip, I saw the top half of a Scamp fifth wheel pass before my eyes, just a couple hundred feet away! The tow vehicle was below the horizon so I bet they didn't even see me. Still, pretty cool though!

While stopped at Pine Hills RV Park in Kutztown, PA http://pinehillrvpark.com/ for the night, we met a very nice couple from MA with their 15' (maybe 16') Scamp. We shared a glass of Mead (my first sip..yummy) and compared notes on renovations/upgrades and just fun general conversation! We enjoyed meeting someone else that uses this site.

LOL..it was getting dark..the only negative was that I didn't have a working electrical cord. Somehow traveling through the George Washington Bridge and NYC the cord came bouncing out of the camper and either was run over or broke as it bounced down the road. So my camper was a little dark inside. Thanking the stars above for all of the flashlights and battery operated lanterns I usually carry around. I did get it fixed at a gorgeous RV Sales and Service place called Sheaffer's about 10 miles West and we were all good for the rest of the trip.

Also saw a Casita in Mill Run, PA. Never got to speak with the owners, but it was sure nice to see fiberglass pull behinds on the road. We are all out there using them!

De

We also saw a Casita

Sunday mid-afternoon: 40 miles east of Louisville on I64 East - 16' Casita pulled by a dark pickup (tow vehicle was partially blocked by another truck passing it)

Then, heading south into Louisville on I65, a 16' Casita pulled by a station wagon - hope you made it thru that traffic jam okay!

Last Thursday driving North from Florida on I-75 through Nashville before I lost it, 13'Patriot named "Size doesn't Matter" pulled by Pickup truck with a Harley in the bed.
Going way too fast in blinding rain and weaving in and out of traffic in a menacing way!

Please slow it down a little!

We don't see a lot of 13' Casitas, but would like too!

Yesterday (Saturday) a few of us went out for a breakfast meeting, here in Maple Ridge then went to one of the couples new (to them) home.

Two car carport, huge shop where upholstry is done and out front of the home we spotted this Boler. Didn't get a year and it still undergoing remodeling, but its still useable....

Last night just before 9pm a 13' Scamp, looked pretty new, heading West on I 580 in San Leandro. It was being towed by a Subaru I think, it was a little dark. Looked like a nice little rig.

Today around noon, a 5th wheel Scamp with S.Carolina plates - pulled by a Toyota pickup in Dickeyville, WI.

Then after lunch, a 5th wheel Scamp with MN plates - pulled by a Chevy pickup had pulled into an apple orchard outside of Gays Mills, WI.

A 5th wheel scamp reunion in SW Wisc?!

Last week we spent the week at Kiptopeke State Park on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Tuesday morning , while towing or Casita, we passed a Casita being towed by a gray truck south bound on I-81 at Christiansburg, Va. Wednesday , about mid morning we saw a Scamp north bound on Highway 13 about three miles from the exit of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge tunnel. On Friday we observed another FGRV but were to far away to tell what type. Saturday morning, while returning home, we were passed by a SUV towing a Scamp. They are ever where. TomB
