Today (July 25) heading west on Rt 138 right past Glide, OR, I passed a little Trillium pulled by a gold truck. I think there were Canadian license plates on the truck. I was the crazy lady beeping and waving out the window as I passed you.

Last Wednesday evening 7/19/06 while coming back from St Louis to Kansas City on I-70 I was passed by a Suburu Outback pulling a 13' Casita with a window A/C hanging out the back. Now thats not so strange, except for the following:
When I caught up with her ( she was from Maryland) i was going all of 85. I didnt know Suburus would go that fast.
Stranger than that the Casita had been raised to the point that there was at least 8 inches between the top of the tire and the wheel opening.

All I could think is if she has to stop quick the Casita will pass her in a blink. I hope she made it where ever she was headed in a hurry.

We saw a Casita couple from Florida up in Scotch Creek BC. I approached the driver on my bicycle and asked "Have you heard of the Fiberglass RV Board?" and based on the look on his face I think what he heard was "give me your wallet!" Anyway if you're reading this I'm sorry if I frightened you! I hope you had a nice trip following our encounter.

Tuesday the 25th in rest area on 44 close to Joplin Mo. A 16ft Scamp being pulled by a silver Yukon or Suburban. They were pulling out as we were pulling in. It was the ONLY fgrv we saw on a 4500 mile car roadtrip.

Wednesday, June 26, around 11:00am, I was heading up I-24 north of Manchester, TN on the way to Nashville airport and gave a thumbs up to a Scamp 5th wheel pulled by a white pickup. If you were wondering who that masked man was, it was me!

July 24th, near Abiquiu Lake, NM. I saw a brand new Casita that it turns out was on its way home to Oregon. (Chatted with the owners soon after the sighting, when we all got stopped for road construction...) Hope they made it home okay and had a great trip, besides!

If you're reading this, you know who you are... Howdy!

Yes, we know who we are and thanks for taking the time to visit with us. We had so many questions. We saw only two other Casitas on the 2200 miles trip home. One going the other direction and one who was heading to Bandon.

and these at the Oldtimers run in Port Angeles Wa 7-22. These trailers (and hot rods) are just gorgeous and truly the inspiration for our recent scamp purchase. We didnt get names--from Canada I think?, but the gentleman in the two toned burgandy and silver was most helpful and had a beautiful BBQ setup on the hitch that we will have to try.

Yesterday Wednesday going from Medford to Roseburg, Oregon on I-5 I saw a 17' Bigfoot being towed by a white van going south, 45 minutes later was a 16' Scamp towed by a Subaru, they were going south.
On our way back home we saw 16' or 17' Casita being towed by a SUV it was going North, so their are a few people out their with their fiberglass trailers.

Aha - Tuesday, Aug 1 EB on I-80 near Lockwood, NV east of Reno - Scamp or Casita tugged by silver or bronze lite SUV - on that speed-section of the Interstate, you don't let your attention wander. My husband pointed this one out, but got so busy cuddling those grandsons, I done fergott to post (smile). Hope you were either beginning or ending a wonderful Egg-venture! LdB

David & Leslie , could we have see the same SUV and Casita? the SUV was the same color that you saw and the Casita didn't have an AC on the roof.( mid to late 90s Casita )
You saw it on Tuesday and I saw it on Wednesday about 4:30 pm going north on I-5 just north of Grants Pass, Oregon,

Hi Jay! Could easily have been the same outfit ... wonder if they headed north out of Winnemucca toward Oreegone. Small world indeed. We so look forward to seeing other Eggs & meeting other FG nutz en route. However, as Nancy has posted, sometimes I'm the crazy lady honking & waving ... sans Scamp Have a great rest of the summer & travel safe - L 'n D
