It'll happen Jim. This is winter's last gasp. You folks up in the northeast have had a brutal winter for sure.

I feel your pain. We have -12 wind chill this morning.
We have warmer weather coming this weekend and then the long range forecast says 40s-50s will begin. Hope this will head your way and let you prep for your upcoming rally. Our first one in Minnesota is May 1-2.

Rest assured my friend. Here in St. Charles MO just west of St. Louis, spring will arrive in just a day or two. 50's and 60's now through next week, winter is over!

Our conditions look similar to the Arkansas photos above. We've been getting a snow (enough to close schools for a day) once each week for the past 3 weeks.
I have reservations at Palo Duro for some spring break camping, just a week and half from now. Palo Duro is just about 400 miles straight west, and they have been getting the snows also. Come on, spring weather! I am not a cold weather camper.

The snow adds a sense of tranquility. or serenity to the photos. We could use some snow to help with the mousture levels for spring planting in our area but again all the good stuff goes to the East coast

In Calgary, we can expect winter any month of the year. We have had snow in every month. Currently it feels like spring, but the day is young.

This winter's last gasp - promises, promises.... The last gasp could be here in May or June, and it would not be the first time.

Third trip to Florida this winter the only white stuff on the ground is the sand at the beach. Mid 80 s during the day and we just turned the trailer A/C on for the night. Can' t last forever, we head back to Va. this weekend.

They say that it may actually reach 80 degrees in the KC metro next
Thursday.
However, we did tangle with winter storm Octavia on the way home from
Scamp Camp (Sebring, Fl). We were watching the weather forecasts and
managed to get north and west of the worst of the storm.
After passing through Memphis and St. Louis, we finally got into
white-out conditions on I-70 and pulled off at Columbia, Mo.
..... Just a couple of hours away from home.
The next morning, the Weather Channel was reporting 10" to 12" of snow
in both Memphis and St Louis and I remember that it was still snowing in
St. Louis. We waited as late as possible that morning and completed
the trip home after the road crews had a chance to clear the 3" to 5" of
snow that fell in the Columbia area.
We are soooooo ready for Spring!

Ray,
Had you winterized your unit in Florida before leaving for home?

Yep! 😊
We only used city water at Scamp Camp. When I disconnected the hose, I removed that
little screen-washer and depressed the button to release the city water pressure. I then
pumped some RV antifreeze from the 12 gallon fresh water tank through the faucet and
down the drain lines into the gray water tank. We then dumped that tank at the dump
station and headed north.
There have been some single-digit temp mornings in the KC metro since our return.
I guess we will soon know if I did OK? 😉

Snow on the Northern Neck, VA
This is our contribution from Thor. About 5-6 inches. Most of it came at us sideways, blown by the wind.
Big Ei's front marker lights looked like two little eyes peeking out thru the snow, and our entry road is covered once again. Much of it has already melted although temps are still in the upper teens.
When I got up this morning, we had open water on the creek, which we haven't seen for days (I guess the wind with the storm did that)! But, about an hour later, the open water had started freezing up again (less wind).
