Sold Our Little Egg

We just returned home from what will be our last camping trip of the season, and on the way, stopped and delivered our little egg to it's new owners. We connected here on the forums, they were able to come look at it last weekend, and were kind enough to allow us to finish out our camping season before taking ownership of it.

It was a little sad to see her tag along behind someone else as they drove away, but we are really excited to know that someone else is going to get as much enjoyment from Iggy as we did. And there's always the idea that we might run into them in a Colorado campground, sometime, too

So now we wait for our 16 foot egg to hatch and pick it up next summer.

I feel your pain... and anticipation! We're just back from our last planned camping trip with our 16' Scamp too. After 3 seasons of use from us, we're planning to sell it this fall to help pay for our new Escape that we pick up on 10/30. We've had so much fun and made great memories with the Scamp. Hate to cut this last camping season short but hubby's anxious for a sale. I try not to think about giving up our little guy and keep myself focused on excitement of a new rig in our life.

I know that had to be a bittersweet moment, Emily. There is just something about the classic 13'ers that no other trailer has, not even the larger Scamps and Casitas.

Take a deep breath, and move forward! In the end I know you'll enjoy your new 16' Scamp just as much. I'll look forward to your reports!

I remember the sadness when my wife and I delivered our uhaul to a new owner...wish I never caused her that tear..I miss her and the camper.
I've since acquired a compact jr but not camped alone yet.

Bruce, I'm very sorry for both of your losses. Losing your spouse is indeed a very difficult loss, not really comparable to giving up a camper, I'm sure.

Yes, hard to get excited over camping alone really but I intend to try.
