Solstice Greetings!

Happy Winter Solstice to FGRV friends! Hope everyone got a glimpse of the eclipse last night! Even with our cloud cover and rain here in the PNW we had enough of a break in the clouds to watch the moon disappear, didn't stay up to watch it reappear, clouds moved.

Happy Winter Solstice to you too!

Bah! Humbug! I thought the eclipse was going to be tonight! So I missed it!

I would take pictures of our Happy Winter Solstice but the camera is with the snowblower in Wisconsin and not Northeast Iowa. Our over-the-winter robins were singing in the creek this morning.

Clive,
We did know the solstice was last night, and I tried to stay up after we drove home from North Carolina. No go. We missed it too.
I'm sure it was beautiful, as was the full moon the day before.
There is so much to see each night we camp. Fortunately our days our not all defined by calendars.
Merry Christmas to all of you!
Sherry

I watched the eclipse on a live feed from Florida, it was way too cloudy here to even catch a glimpse of the moon.

Happy Solstice, IMO one of the best days of the year. The return of the light!

Thanks for your condolences Sherry. It makes me feel a bit better knowing someone else missed it!!

I was quite looking forward to it. A historic occassion and all that AND being somewhere with a good view AND with a good weather forecast! Quite an opportunity.

So I'm still kicking myself a bit.
