Something going on with ParkLiner?

Uh oh! I spoke with Chandler @ ParkLiner earlier this week, and said I'd be up there to look, possibly put downpayment on a trailer. Now, every link shows a b.s. page, nothing to do with the homepage i've been viewing. Worries me.....maybe, hopefully, he pulled his homepage for updating, improving??..Phone number is 1-800 418-2120. I'll try calling when later, normal folks are up...

somewhere I saw they had made 3 sales? It appears each is hand made vs mass produced like Casita or Scamp.

Do you really call what Scamp does "Mass Produced"?

I visited the Scamp "factory", and they are not mass produced in the way you might think. Pretty much everything is handmade, they just do it more often. That Parkliner does look very nice.

If you do visit there, you will be the first forum member here to report back your impressions that I am aware of.

Edit: if you do go there i would be curious to know about the new Flush toilet available the first of December and what size black tank it would have.

I just spent some time on their site. Man, did they do the cabinets right or what??

Things I like:
tons of cabinets and drawers
14" tires from the factory
3500 axle
better door frame design

Things I don't like:
No counter space (seating for 6 but no room to even make a sandwich?)
Suburban furnace (never again )
icebox (good for canned food)

The basic trailer looks nice, but I would get it sans the furnace, icebox, and cushions, and do that all myself. If it turns out to be well made, the value for the dollar sure looks high!

I'm absolutely going, if I'm still breathing! Chandler replied to my email, yes, he'll send me a brochure [for showingoff purposes to local friends]. He's in Carolina Bch this weekend, surffishing w/son, first vacation in a year, NOT a time to be hearing from me, but I replied, 'See ya on nov 28, debit cards inpocket!'
I'll of course post my first impressions, with fotos..if I can remember Donna's instructions, just read!

David, reasons please for passing on the furnace and icebox? I'm looking for advice here, as a rank firsttime newbie. I would'nt pay for a furnace or an icebox,[catalytic cube heater & portable RVtype fridge], but I believe they come standard. Is it normal, before ordering, to say skip this, skip that? And get $$ off the bottom line? harry

The price you pay for the factory Furnace and Refrigerator will be much less than the cost of cobbling something in if you decide you really need or would like them later.
It is much easier to install gas lines, vents and the electrical during the construction.
You also limit you resale ability by not having all the standard goodies.
I only boon doc. The more primative and and off the beaten path the better. I still like to be warm and comfortable and not worry about running out of ice.
Personally I would not buy a new unit without a furnace or refrigerator.
If your going to full time travel I would think the convenience of both would outweigh the money possibly saved,

Excellent points! An icebox requires ice, right? The fridge is a $675 option. I can do better than that,same as an $895 awning, I'll pass & get a sunblock awning from Academy sports or somewhere, for $79-99.....

Icebox, 3-way... only electric, need propane... whatever. It's all about personal needs and use. I wouldn't give up my case awning for a cheaper popup canopy... but my needs/wants are different than YOURS. Truly, not everything is based on "budget" and thankfully we don't all want the same thing.....

consider taking the Icebox and then later getting a Danfoss type fridge, they have come way down in price and they don't need no stinking vents!
