Unless it's the out door shower. You better get the second fresh water tank!

What good is a rumor if you don't spread it around.....what did you hear???
That is a funny teaser from Scamp. Usually they tell you when they plan to drop the news. Stay tuned until....when?

But if they did, it would just make the old units sell for even higher prices.

Can’t imagine what you would use a sawsall ,skillsaw and two hammers on a fg trailer for it’s the three tools I would rarely use.

Public safety announcement about not smacking two hammer faces together?

As if twenty years of service with normal care wasn't enough? No worries I have owned Scamps twice that age which were still usable and comfortable despite suffering from neglect.
Don't forget their Custom Deluxe models which feature interiors which are unsurpassed in the industry.

Our 19 Deluxe 5r had the axles installed wrong and were ripping away from the frame. After telling them I was going to send info and pictures to Highway Traffic Safety people they sent the Correct Axle and paid to have it replaced.
The quality wood cabinets, several doors came unglued and the parts fell to the floor.
I certainly hope they have improved their quality since then.

Do you mean twenty years ago, or did you discover the problem recently?
I do recall that there were a few trailers from the early 2000's which had to have the axle mounting redone due to insufficient welds.( mostly 16s).
I also remember that the single most praised (non-Scamp) fiberglass trailer on this forum had to recall several years of production due to faulty frames.
Still, they make a high quality product which is widely praised...
and so does Scamp.
Your hopes are well founded since there has been constant improvement over the intervening years to an already great product.

There was a recall in the early/mid-2000’s affecting 16’ and 19’ Scamps. An unannounced change in axle specs from the manufacturer resulted in misalignment with the frame rails. Scamp installed them anyway, and a number failed, including one or two that separated while towing. Problems didn't surface until several years later. Scamp initially declined responsibility because they were out of warranty, but later issued a silent recall when the highway safety issue was pushed (justifiably!). Their fix involved scabbing on an additional piece of frame tubing- cheap and inelegant, but effective.
It was indeed a lapse in judgment, and I’m sympathetic to those that got caught. On the other hand you’d be hard-pressed to find any manufacturer that’s been in business as long as Scamp and hasn’t made a few missteps along the way.
In my view the black door hinges were another minor misstep, which is currently being addressed by the flat door design. Not sure why they made that change; wondering if the old ball hinges are no longer available. Some changes are like that- important parts are suddenly unavailable, and not always with adequate time to engineer and test a replacement. It seems they're taking their time with the flat door, though. I hope that's what all the hoopla is about.
Scamp’s overall quality is pretty good given its entry level pricing, and I do sense they are striving to improve while staying true to their value-oriented mission.

Floyd , I am in full agreement with your statement !!
The quality of the cabinets in a Scamp Custom Deluxe is far superior to the particle board / stapled together fake wood junk cabinets in trailers that cost twice as much !
Scamp uses real oak veneered plywood and not compressed sawdust with a cheap vinyl coating.

Maybe they are going to waterproof the top of the floor, where it starts rotting?
A door that fits and is not full of particle board that soaks up water and rots and weights a ton?
A good door lock?
Reinforced frame in the bends? (they all need that)
