Steve Dunham has died.

I just received the sad news that Steve Dunham, a long time member, and friend to Fiberglass RV has passed away.
I don't have any further details, but I just wanted let all the members know.

Steve was a great help to many and a great conversationalist to all.
His contributions, to the forum and to the rallies will not soon be forgotten.
My sincere condolences to his family and friends...
He will surely be remembered and missed.
May God rest his soul.

I assume this is who you mean:
https://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/...ham-27205.html

While I never met him he has been so incredibly helpful on this forum and the Escape forum (and perhaps others also)... particularly with electrical issues where he had both the expertise and the qualifications to guide so many to safe and effective use of their camper's electrical systems. If we could only capture all the advice he has given over the years, it would be required reading for many RV owners.

RIP.

Steve suffered a massive stroke on June 13. His actual name was Steve Steingruebl. Donna D. provided this link on the Escape Forum.

I am so very sad to hear this. Always opinionated and occasionally cantankerous, it was abundantly clear that underneath the crusty demeanor was a genuinely kind heart supported by an encyclopedic knowledge of RVs and down-to-earth common sense. This is a great loss for the FiberglassRV community. Prayers for his family.

Thank you for letting us know. His comments were always helpful and added information that wasn’t found elsewhere. It’s so helpful when people like Steve volunteer information. Yes, he will be missed.

Our community has become a bit smaller, and we are all less for it. RIP Steve.

What unexpected and sad news. We just had a wonderful camping outing with Steve and Linda at our Pink Elephant Rally on Mother’s Day weekend in May. Steve will be greatly missed. Our prayers are certainly with Linda.

RIP Steve. Here's another one with a loss for words at this unexpected sad news.
We shared a lot of posts here and I will truly miss his valuable comments.
At times like this I usually comment that I hope I go quickly like that when it's my turn. Just not yet please, knock on wood.

Walt

Sad news. We actually met Steve and his wife several years ago. We were wintering in the Jekyll Island GA campground, Steve and his wife and dogs were just a bit south in Florida in their camper, so they drove up one day for a visit. Always enjoyed his posts, he will be missed for sure.
