Here it is:

Spent some time boondocking in my Casita today where the local temperature reached 111F.

I thought I would summerize the 10 best reasons to camp in this kind of heat.

1. Hot water is always available when showering.

I kind of got stuck after #1.

There's reason no. 2: campgrounds are empty.

#3 - It beats WORKING
#4 - Depending on what's going on at home it can be a great sanity break.

#5 - to appreciate one's home climate this time of year (prox 80* max today with clear skies and fresh on-shore breeze).

#6 - No worries about the pipes freezing or the furnace not working.

#7 - Cook outdoors on the concrete (saves on propane for the grill).

#8 - Chance to try out some new 'dashboard' recipes. (Mix ingredients, set on dashboard of TV in AM, roll up windows, food is cooked by lunchtime.)

9. Place biscuits or bread in DO. Set covered DO in sun and the biscuits/bread will rise nicely before baking. Just use gloves when handling the DO as it will be very hot.

10. No need to carry blankets, etc. Lightens the load.

Number 11: Easy money. Cary in a few bricks and rent out the Casita as a mobile SAUNA, towels included!

Number 12. The envious look of tent campers around your casita when the the ac compressor lights off.

Number 13. You can do your part to help put mobile A/C service guys kids through college.

Thanks Frederick! I've never been able to get signed up over there (believe me I tried), so I'm grateful that you took the time. I think the part about dashboard recipes must be true; my sun tea jar got so hot the other day, I had to pick it up with a cloth to avoid burning my hand.
