This might be the most anticipated new trailer in the history of the FGRV industry. And it couldn't be going home to a nicer, more deserving person.

Like everyone else Donna I'm so happy to see your dream come true.

Donna, you are true a "short-timer" now. A long time ago in a land far, far away, everyone kept track of the days left to complete their one year tour of duty. We were obsessed with going home.

When you had 99 days left, you were called a "Two digit midget". When you were down to 9 days we had a very special tradition. One of your buddies would buy you a fifth of Seagrams V.O., and you had to drink it up that night. The bottle had a yellow ribbon trimmed in black. After you drank it, you wore that little ribbon on your watch band for the rest of your time. You were held in high esteem. Respect and envy followed you everywhere. Our Commander called you Sir. Unless we were really stretched for manpower; you didn't fly any missions. Nobody wanted to be responsible for putting a "One digit midget" in harms way.

Soooo.... if you feel like getting a little drunk while waiting for Ten Forward, I won't cast the first stone. You earned it!!

But Tom, I gotta go to work at 5am. Nice thought though. I think I'll just sit here and add to my packing list.... that's getting longer and longer and longer...

Thanks for sharing the story too.

NEARLY ALL GROWN UP! One week from today and I will have already spent that very first glorious night sleeping inside Ten Forward. Cleaned up nicely, huh? Can't wait to see final, final pics with the upholstery in place.

Absolutely have a journal packed! I'm a BIG proponent of keeping a journal. I learned that from my parents. Because, when the time comes and I can no longer travel.. I can pull out my journal(s) and relive all the good times. MAKE MEMORIES!

Donna, when our kid were little and we had a big camping trip coming up when we got close enough to count on one hand the pinky represented the day we left. This started the tradition of "Pinkey Day" and the question of how long until pinkey day which always caused great excitement.
So Donna, how long until pinkey day?
