Smile Thanks for the guest membership

On the 10th will be leaving this great website. Super impressed by everyone and everything. People have gone out of their way to be informative, encouraging and kind.
I have a 1989 Bigfoot 11.5 truck camper on a 1988 F250 hd long box extended cab.
Only 92k kilometers on truck. Both units in almost new condition considering 32 plus years old. Haven't made up my mind whether to keep or sell. Winter up here in Canada still raging. Once again, thank you for the Hospitality everyone showed me as a guest. Cheers and great adventure to all. Clueless🤓

Good luck! Should be an easy sale if that's what you decide to do.

Why am l leaving a forum that l enjoy and find the people so kind. I'm embarrassed to say that 20USD or almost 30 CDN won't put me in the poor house, but seems! kind of high even though information profered is worth much more. I acknowledge this seems shortsighted but at 74 and on a pension l have to be cognizant of where the nickels and dimes disappear. Actually, to be perfectly truthful, my wife says " you're just cheap!"
Shes 100 percent correct. Cheers everyone 😀😁

I'm confused. To whom are you paying money?

I know there is a link to donate to the owner of this website, but it is entirely voluntary, and I'll guess few do. There seems to be plenty of advertising these days, and your participation increases page view counts that drive the ad revenue stream. So you are supporting this website just by being here!

I was sure l read a title that said membership was 20USD a couple of days ago. Naturally, l can't find it, so lm either hallucinating or missing where it was. I was always under the impression that there was a 90 day free trial membership, then you had to join or decline.
I had no idea it was by voluntary donation!. That would certainly change things from my end. Hopefully, l can find out without having to leave the Forum. Thanks gor your interest.
Cheers, Clueless

Can I be the first to welcome you back? I've been on here since 2008 enjoying the comradery and the many lessons learned. During that time, I have had two different eggs and a stick-built class A. No charge, but a donation is well worth it if you are able or so inclined.

Enjoy

This forum has no fees attached to it's use. The only danger is finding another, more expensive fiberglass camper to replace the one you own.......

Don't log out either, and click the "remember me" box when you log in next time. It will make your life on the forum so much easier.

I have contributed to this site... specifically I have contributed 4,454 posts, most of which with I took enough time to try and make them helpful and clearly written.. thats a lot of hours of my time to contribute.

But I have never sent them one cent. Be careful that you are not getting scammed by an advertiser or malware on your computer. If you see it again grab a screenshot and let us know.

Clueless,

Whew! That was a close one! Almost lost you.

Settle down and join the conversation.

As Glenn suggested, click the "remember me" option so you don't have to login every time.

Thanks everyone, really impressed that each of you made clear that l can plead poverty and still belong to this elite group. Question.....why a guest membership? It implies that it is almost a look-see to indicate whether you want to continue on after 90 days. Bit confusing, or is there some form of scamming that attaches itself to website. I honestly believed that at the end of term l had to pay to remain. Can't remember if l received a notification indicating that my time was ending, and then l THOUGHT, l saw a heading saying Membership, and cost was 20 USD. Could l have imagined this? By the way, I'm not really on the doorstep of poorhouse....just cheap as my lovely bride has said for too many years to remember. Cheers😂

There is another fiberglass forum. The Bigfoot Owners International Club (BOIC) charges $20 US with a free trial. Maybe that is what you are thinking of.

Well, I'm almost correct. It's BOCI or Bigfoot Owners Club International.
