If was I going to do a complete rebuild of a molded trailer, or perhaps build a camping trailer out of a fiberglass cargo trailer, I'd certain put my thinking cap on when it comes to the interior. A friend sent me this video link, and that made me go hummmm.

One of the neatest things this link reminded me of was Bardy's Geographic. The propane stove pulled down from the wall and when in the 'up' position, the entire counter was free space. Too the dining table pulled out from under the kitchen cabinet. In the Geographic, the entire front end is a comfy couch, but there's no dinette until the table is pulled out. When the table is stowed, you wouldn't even know there was a table at all... pretty stealthy!

Anyway, enjoy!

Hi: Donna D... It looks to me like they're pushing the IKEA envelope.

I'm not a fan of IKEA furniture... sorry if I've stepped on anyone toes, I like the decorating stuff, just not the furniture. But for small space living, I think there's a lot to be gleaned from watching the video.... especially if you have a trailer with straight walls.

Hi: Donna D... My toes are fine!!! I really like the duality of each piece. The smaller the trailer the more important it is to have things that serve a dual purpose. I think there are valuable lessons to be learned here. Thanks for the looky.

WOW---that's the kind of stuff that makes me salivate! I love repurposing/multi-use ideas. Makes me want to go live in a one room apt!

I tried to find some prices on the Resource Furniture website but I guess it's a case of "if you have to ask...". Also, the fact that the company has its showroom in the heart of Manhattan might also lead me to believe that things might be more than a little on the pricey side. But I guess it makes sense in New York City, where a 17' Casita would be considered a fair-sized buffet apartment.
