The Leocraft..is MINE .. wa ha ha!

Dennis.. where are you? Now there are two of us!

After much drama and stealth.. I purchased the Leocraft SOLD ~ 1977 Leo Craft in AZ - Fiberglass RV

I have not even seen it yet.. Fred Simson picked it up for me today. I am excited to be back in the Fiberglass world after being in a sticky for over a year now.

I will go get it from Quartzsite next week.. let the renos begin!

Fred is shouting right now too.. he is trying fix the Bubba job on the lights to get it towed outta there.

It has a few Bubba mods that he said were not done very well or with a lot of RV experience, but nothing he described can't be made right .. I will have a little work ahead of me.

I was shocked and pleased to find out it is double hulled.. so, I have a quazi 17ft Bigfoot now. Same floorplan and construction style.. woo hoo

Absolutely LOVED your DRAMA and STEALTH!
I'll have to book now for the Oregon Gathering, so I can see it ROLL IN...try to be fashionably late for the Friday night gathering...just like the Geographic was! We will all RISE and give YOU a standing ovation! Can't wait to see what you do in the rennovation mode...you've certainly got the skills to work on this little guy.
So GLAD for you!

Yea Gina, can't wait to see what you do as you've had so many cool idea's in your past trailers. Are you keeping the existing fulltime rig and having this one as a part time one?

Hi Dan,

No, this one will be my "home". I do not have a dirt home base, just an address in Arizona, so I can't have two rigs. That would be like a little red choo choo train!

I sold the Burro in favor of a larger motorhome thinking that the square footage would help. It didn't. I sold the motorhome in favor of a smaller trailer I could configure for more floorspace and it works. It wasn't the size of the Burro that was the problem, it was the floorplan.

The BF17 CB is ideal for me, but few and far between.. and out of my price range for sure. This is why this one was so appealing to me. Same floorplan.

My initial intent is to remove the dinette and put a loveseat arrangement there with opposing TV etc. The clothes hamper would be made into an entertainment center off sorts.

The floor is raised there, presumably for the fresh water tank, however, the tank has been removed according to the old owner. He put 60 gallon tank under the gaucho.

I just have to have a look at it before I can really formulate a plan. "As is" for now will work, but I am taking advantage of the fact that I am currently located where I can keep both trailers. This will allow me to continue living in mine now, and work on the Leocraft without obstruction.

We'll see

Re Leocraft info

Well , I must say it's good to have another Leocraft owner here! Sorry you did not get my reply. Have no idea why. But I would still like to answer those questions you had. I have some questions of my own regarding construction etc. I wonder if both trailers are built the same. What do you mean by double hull? Ours has only one outer glass shell. Interesting!

Fred seems to think it has an inner and an outter shell ala Burro and Uhaul. Since the inside walls are finished, perhaps he mistook that? It would be similar to a bigfoot then.

Like I say.. I haven't seen it in person yet. I noticed on yours that there is an interior wall.

Re Private Message

Gina, I just finished typing a half hour reply to your earlier questions. Please check to see if you got it. If not would you be able to find out why for me. I have noticed that when I press the send reply button that it says that I am not logged in. It seems to be kicking me out so that I have to log in again. Thanks! Dennis

Gina, still trying to reach you via private messages . Spent half hour replying to your earlier questions. If you did not get it would you know what the reason might be?
