Thou Shalt Not Covet My FGRV

Second one this week left in my Front Door...feeling anxious.

This is my fifth note left since I picked it up two months ago. This doesnt include the two different guys who actually knocked on my door to inquire if my trailer was for sale.

I don't have a for sale sign on Pearl Jam and I certainly don't want to put a "Not For Sale" sign but I'm starting to feel concerned that someone may not be so kind to just inquire how to find one. I point them to this site, CL, and the FGRV-4sale one.

I don't think the hitch lock is a deterrent for a determined jerk of a thief. So any ideas to outsmart covetousness are Truly Appreciated!

Ok People, I'm ALL Ears....gimme whatcha got! B-/

I'll have to log on from my laptop. Cant upload pics from the mobile site.

Take a tire - or two off and put it on jack stands. Lock up the tires elsewhere. They will never find an extra UHaul rim.

It's not like there's a thundering herd at the door- all those notes are from the same guy!
Why not call and put him out of his misery?

Francesca

There was an old Ford tractor with a loader parked at a local business. Painted on the loader arms was NOT FOR SALE. I guess you do what you have to do. Raz

Many glass trailers have been purchased by knocking on a door. I think like Francesca suggested, call the poor guy and let him know that your not interested in selling. He's just determined shopper! Break it to him gently!

I know, Right?!

Well I'm pulling the jack stands out and taking Toms advice. (Which btw is just Brilliant!)

It's not when I'm asleep I'm worried...it's when I'm not here. I'd feel truly sick if I came home and Pearl Jam wasn't here!

At least you have his number if your trailer comes up missing! Hoping he was just interested and not overly coveting.

I like the "not for sale" sign idea.

Au Contraire... Read OP

Interesting that when I uploaded pics the site kept saying "error: system crash during upload...report being sent" or sumptin techie sounding.

Anyhoo only meant to post one pic, sorry for the additional uploads.

I don't covet, but I do drool................

Have you noticed how construction crews with cranes lift their equipment
high into the air? And I see lots of trailers or signs on wheels without their wheels.

To be clear: This is my fifth note from five different guys in two months.

I texted him and as I previously mentioned in my OP, point them to where they can find one.

More people than I'd like are crawling around my yard than ever before because well she's just a Good Egg! ...and I don't want to lose her

Good point, Carl. Thankfully Tom has me looking for my jack. You two great minds think alike...been hanging around each other much? :-)

Same thing I do when people don't read but are quick to post useless comments.

I've got double tongue locks on mine..............
but, if it becomes a concern, I will close in my
Snoozy barn and double lock a door...............
I also carry insurance for what it's worth.

But you were right earlier, a determined thief is
a thief that disregards the laws and precautions.
Even if the wheels are missing, they could lift it
with a crane and drive off...........but that's too much
trouble for me............(if I was a thief, that is). lol

Have a restful sleep tonight.........

I think you'd be ok with a tongue lock and a cover.
