Thought I'd share this. A little goofy

I have recently started doing CNC plasma cutting and have been cutting out various things getting used to the new system. I did this today and I'm really happy with how it turned out. Something fun and I thought I'd share it

It appears that the trailer is a seperate piece ontop of the background. Is that correct?

Yes. I cut both the boler and the background separately and welded the boler on some standoffs to give the whole thing a little depth. Also it lets me use the same background design as a generic background for other future pieces.

Thanks Alan

In all fairness the magic computer machine does all the hard work. I just try to get the design and programming and settings right. This thing is great for doing more intricate work. Me after 3 coffees.... Not so much!!

It's a great addition to my tiny shop.

It looks great, especially when enlarged and you can see the separate Boler!

That is a beautiful piece of art.

I’d be interested in getting something similar for my trailer! Please continue sharing your masterpieces.

Very nice. Do you own your own CNC milling machine / business?

Thanks Annie! Just a retired guy with a tiny shop. Definitely not a business for me although I do requests I wish I had a milling machine but there is definitely not enough room

The small CNC plasma table I have pretty much filled up my remaining space.

I don’t know what a plasma table is but I understand advances in technology these days is amazing. Being able to do this at home is great.
Very cool hobby you’ve got going.
Keep posting your work.

Very affordable. I'm working on a fire pit design.

I have a Langmuir Systems Crossfire XL. A nice little table. The bed is 28 x 33 so I can do some pretty decent sized stuff. I mostly cut 14 and 16 gauge sheet steel but have also done aluminum, stainless and copper. About the thickest I cut is 1/4 inch.

Not a bad way to pass the time I have an idea for a fly rod rack for Lita so if I get around to doing it I'll certainly post it.
