Have fun, the weather at your end must be better than at my end. It's supposed to rain all week in Portland...

Marg. sounds like fun....
I got the 'itchy feet' here a few weeks ago and went to a campground very near me... it was "cloudy' showerd some at nite.. but it was pleasant during the day.... I am just keeping an eagle eye on the weather here so I can do another short trip..

Have fun!!

Have fun, really jealous at this end, still have a few feet of snow in the yard here, but were thawing out.

Good luck. I finally hit a good weekend for agility, near Sacramento. Perfect weather, although a bit windy during the late afternoons (I was glad I didn't have an awning or Ez-up up.) We are supposed to get a storm in this week so I hope it doesn't get you that far north.

Didn't stay long, went as far north as Coos Bay, checked out Bullards Park, picniced in trailer, headed home, stayed at Humbug St. Park, nice place, a little road noise but very nice, home again through that Oregon mist that sometimes rain. Will try again soon. Will post pics as soon as I get them developed. Rhododendrons not blooming yet in redwoods and then for sure I will head north to photograph them again. Marg

I couldn't stand it any longer so last Friday I loaded up and went to one of my favorite spots.
I had to go the back way through the deseert and then up into the tall timber. I got the Scamp all set up and sat down to relax and have a cup of coffee.Thats when I noticed that some how the wheel bearing dust cap was missing on my Scamp. 47 miles back to my house for the stuff to repack a wheel bearing and stop by NApA for another dust cap and I was back in business.
I wore myself out on Saturday by putting about 50 miles on my ATV. Sunday I got up, fixed a big breakfast and set out exploring an area that I had never been in. I managed to bury my machine in the snow to the point that I had to winch it out. I saw a scruffy looking brown colored bear, it disappeared before I could get my camera out, and even discovered a mine and old cabin that is not on the Forest Service map.
All in all it was a great first camping trip of the year.
John
