Today is the day

It's almost midnight and i'm heading to bed...Hope i can sleep because we're leaving for Backus at 7:00 to pick up our brand new Scamp. Snow/rain is in the forcast but the pole barn is swept out, picked up and ready for a new resident. Can't wait to get her home, plug her in and start playing with and learning about all the goodies. Eva has been doing some shoppihg for curtains, matresses, cooking stuff and things like that.
I'll keep ya'all posted on how the day went....and TRY to post a pic or two.

Yay!!! Always great to bring a new toy, especially one of this size, home.

A bit curious. You mention buying curtains and mattresses. Are they not with it new, or is this something you opted out of?

Got it!!!
Uneventful trip both ways except for the snow/sleet/rain that's been plaguing the upper mid-west this spring. The folks at Scamp were nice as always and spent a couple hours running us through everything. The TV (Tacoma 4cyl) was outstanding, even on the big hills and of course the Scamp trailed like a champ. The camper is everything I expected and a little more, can't wait to use it. No pics yet, the weather was so miserable we just wanted to put her inside the barn and get inside ourselves.

Jim, the Scamp came with curtains and she's going to keep them, but using the dinette cushions for a mattress is akin to using plywood...they are hard! So a new mattress is in order.

Ken, sorry you have to wait. Maybe a bottle of Crown to the production foreman would move things along

Jalanjen, what part Wis are you from? We're from way up in the northern part, hope to see you around.

george----congratulations! this is the start of a zillion new memories and just the beginning of years of fun times!

i remember when we got our outback...it was brand new but we didn't get to choose the options. even though, i was ecstatic when we brought it home and almost daily brought a cup of tea out to the driveway and just sat it in for hours.....
