1. Kid broke wrist
2. Hubby's job glitch
3. Cat died

Yikes! that was a rough spring!

1. Cast off a week early, this morning - break has healed beautifully. Hurray!
2. Job scheduling problem resolved this evening - Yay!
3. (Cat still dead.) Well, that's what you get for loving an eight-pound feline.... 14 wonderful years, then loss, loss, loss, mourning, crying, remembering, telling funny stories.

Long story short, we are heading out tomorrow, to a place a good friend described as The Most Beautiful Place on the Planet. Alrighty then.

Bringing the Cobb (practiced with this mod dutch oven at home over these past 5 weeks), no need to arrange cat sitter, have to take it easy for a while with kid's wrist (looks like Lego and Mad magazines for the first week, fishing and canoeing and snorkelling later on). Okay.

Let summer begin!

It IS a better day! Glad to hear things are going better for the family and sorry about the loss of your pet. This may be the best camping trip ever, time to reconnect with family, mourn the loss of your beloved cat, time to explore a gorgeous new place!

Have fun! Enjoy!

Your story in smileys, brought to you by the society of the smiley impaired. Have a great trip! (in this performance the part of smokey the bear smiley, signifying camping, will be played by drill sargeant smiley) I am in my room.
