Our pup, Jasper, blasting in the snow at -30C (-22F)
He doesn't mind the cold too much either, though a 1 hour walk was enough for him that day.

We don't get snow here. Well, we're not SUPPOSED To get snow here. But every now and then the mountain range east of us gets a smattering. Today was that "every now and then," so the girls and I headed up to the dirt ridge road to explore.

Usually we can see the snow from the valley floor if there's any up there. Couldn't this morning, but we were already packed up, so we headed out.

Here's what we found at Miranda Pines campground in Santa Barbara County, CA.

Now THAT was the coldest bathroom I've EVER used! BRRR!

I don't brag about Georgia's summer weather, but today: Sunny, 75 degrees, or about 24 degrees celsius. Supposed to be a cold spell come in Monday, though. Oh well, great while it lasts!

SO cold in Minnesota. I drove my truck out of the garage Tuesday and I got a 4 foot crack in my windshield 1 block from home. Good thing I have glass coverage.

Expecting anywhere from 4 to 14 inches of snow tonight here in Illinois.
Yay I can't wait.

Oh wait , that sucks! I should be in Tennessee. Stupid economy!

I guess when I look out tomorrow morning and it's a foot or more I will stay home. Because my attitude is slipping badly.

Out if toilet paper, too.

Sorry . . . I had to color balance your picture. It's just too good a shot not to.

Actually, there WAS toilet paper! I was pretty amazed. It's in that little cubby to the toilet users' right. And it was DRY!

Thanks for the color balance. I'd tried to do it, but didn't do a very good job!

Local weather reports for Southern Ontario has 3 snowstorms headed our way for Friday, Sunday and Christmas eve. With 50 cm or 20 inches expected and high winds the news reports that the people that work late night at the weather office have coined a new phrase for this series of storms ...

Snow-mageddon!

I used a potty very much like that one in a BLM CG in Utah at night with all the stars out in that clear desert air -- Grandest potty I've ever used!
