Trailer Life mag
The just arrived June issue has a cover photo and article about the Oliver Legacy Elite II. As equipped in the article the price was $70000. Nice but too rich for me. I’ll stick with my Escape 19.

The wood cabinets are nicer looking to my eye. And half the price! (Ok, I'm oversimplifying...)

While not the trailer for me, they certainly are very nice in many aspects. While not keen on the layout or white cabinets myself, I do have to appreciate all the quality components built into it, most of which are above and beyond what Escape offers.

I would not discount Bigfoot either. They too have some great build features and layouts. Still, a different beast costing more than Escape and weighing in at a heck of a lot more too.
Airstream Nest is another specialized, but higher quality trailer.
Don't get me wrong, I am more than happy with most components of my Escape, and believe them to be an excellent value. I did do some improvemnts myself to get some better components.

I completely forgot about Bigfoot. It’s right up there.

How about Armadillo? I haven't see one first-hand, but it appears to have similar top-drawer build quality in a small package.

So, small and expensive versus large and expensive?

Pretty much.
As to value for price paid... that's a matter for the buyer to decide.

The Oliver is truly a class trailer and like was said the Escape is a step below. Well it's a big step below in price, all most half as much in cost. Did you see the comparison between the Oliver and the Airstream, good article. I do like the Oliver interior with all that fiberglass, just gives it that custom look. My wife likes the Oliver over the Escape, but thinks the Escape for our use would be the better buy for what time we use the trailer.

I too receive the Good Sam mag, Trailer Life.
I am encouraged when a predominantly class A,B,or C mag features or even mentions a fiberglass travel trailer. To my tastes, Olivers are "sterile" looking, but the fact that they are fiberglass travel trailers being featured in such a mag is a sign that fiberglass travel trailers are at least gaining in popularity.

Oliver is just not big enough for us. Took a factory tour. Hand made. High quality. Looks like a long Casita.
Buy now, within a few years the Oliver division of the company will be bought out.
Not for the DIY type person. The double hull makes it difficult to work on. I saw one in for repairs and the factory tech had to cut a hole in the outside of the trailer to fix it.

Let me know if I missed any of the other obscure fiberglass trailer manufacturers and we can add them to the "Mix"!
