I'm 49.5 although I automatically upgrade my age after 6 months so i say I'm 50.

.....You can add 10 years to Jenn's statement and you have mine!

I think that turning six-oh will make me feel more geezer-like...

In two years you get to officially join the club. First thing I did when I hit 62 was get my geezer pass. Best deal out there as far as I'm concerned. Raz

I'm not yet ready to work on being a geezer, still trying to perfect my curmudgeon. Just checked and I have a belly button so I can't be the oldest member. I will say I have reached a level of maturity that I spend more time thinking about the hereafter. Walk into a room and wonder "what am I here after?".

Time to go pick up a high quality Batman costume to hang in the closet, just to mess with my own mind if I get dementia. I can't prevent all the trials and tribulations my body experiences from being old enough to be "off warranty" but by gosh I'm going to try and have fun anyway!

Nothing wrong with rounding up or down.

Another thought: realize that when you turn XX, you are in the year XX+1 of your life. We call the centuries that way, but it never caught on regarding our age. Why is that?

Actually we do.... We say a baby is in their "First Year" before they are One year old, the day of your (for example) 50th birthday you are in your 51st year.

Some states used to specify a drinking age as "Being in your 21st year" That didn't fly in court as anyone that had passed their 20th birthday was in their 21st year, now most say, "Must have passed their 21st birthday" or something to that effect.

Sooo, 2001 is the 21'st Century, CE

Isn't it interesting how much weird language gets stuffed into the laws? Us cynical, skeptical stiffs might come to the conclusion that the laws are written by lawyers, for lawyers, in order to enhance their job security.

I've made into my late 70's and danged proud to be considered older than dirt, geezer, etc. Many out there can only hope to reach this age. Heck, while working and being the “senior” of the group it was not unusual to be referred to as “Ye Olde Farte”. Does any of this bother me? Heck no, I'm OneOleMan

I'm 46 but really immature, to quote my online dating profile
I belong to a few online forums, mostly skiing and biking related, and this is the only one where I'm the youngster. I come from a very small family and have few to none "geezers" in my life outside of you folks. I really appreciate the knowledge and prospectives I get here. Thank You!
