User's Ages.

It's been quite a while since there's been a poll on the ages of members and trailer users. I suspect the average age and gone down since the last one. So please participate, I think it will be interesting.

Yay! So far I classify as the young fella here. No doubt that will change soon though.

(I added a descriptor to the one category, just to clarify things )

What was the average age at the last one, when was it done and how many participated.

And, BTW: Of what use is this information?

Long ago, Vinnie Delpino, Doogie Howsers sidekick, was wanting to ask Doogie's mother Katherine for a date, and was questioned about the 20 something year age difference between them. He replied "All adults are the same age".....

There are many benefits of gathering this information. Understanding the demographics of the membership, to know where you rank in the age spread, general interest, having fun.....

Oh yeah, and if the numbers in the older than dirt category are high, you know there might be a flood of used FGRV's on the market sometime in the near(er) future.

If you happen to be, say, 30 years old, which button should you press?

Approximate? - How much am I allowed to fudge it?

Also, I think there are quite a few in the 70+ category, but are there any 80+. The older I get the more curious I get about them.

Okay we're older than dirt but remember most of the food you eat grows in dirt or eats stuff that grows in dirt. Soon we'll really be part of the dirt.

Poll does not show on my iPad but I am in the older than dirt category. When I turned 70 my mom was 100 so I figured that at that time I still had 30 years to go. Take something to keep the arthritis at bay and I am still ready to go. Forget it and I can go try to find wherever I left my walking stick. Ha!

I could claim to be 39 and holding... but the gray hair says otherwise.

Some like to suggest that we get out, travel and make memories, and I cannot agree more. Making them is not the problem - keeping them may start getting harder. As Homer (Homer Simpson, that is) would say: "If I make a new memory, I have to forget an old one!"

I think Byron's guess that the average age has gone down is probably correct given the number o posts that I've read over the last few months by new or wannabe owners. I hope they will participate in the survey. Us oldsters tend to get out and vote in higher numbers whatever the issue is! Hubby and I are almost older than dirt.

Not to worry about keeping the memories. Without the memory you can go back to same place, enjoy and it's all new to you.

We took my mother-in-law to the same day use area in a local State Park every year. Every year was "This sure is pretty, I don't remember ever being here". New experience for her every year.

I participated in the poll, andif anyone is curious - I'm older than dirt. I recall my granny being very private about her age, and when asked she always replied "I'm as old as my tongue, and a bit older than my teeth".

I almost wish there were a few more upper age brackets. My mother is 89 and still RVing regularly, though not in an egg. Curious if she has much company… Anyway, nowadays who considers 70 "older than dirt"!?
