vintage, not FG but a beauty

A 1948 Zimmer aluminum trailer, nicely restored. If I had money lying around, I'd buy it.

The vintage radio sitting beside the kitchen sink adds a nice retro touch, too!

It looks like one that Flyte Camp, Bend, OR could have restored. We love watching "Flipping RVs" on GAC.

I love Flipping Rv's too. While I'm very excited about our upcoming Escape, if it wasn't for all of the maintenance and potential leaks, vintage is the way we would have gone. Before deciding on fiberglass, I spent the last 10 years drooling over on the airforum and vintage sites.

"(das) Zimmer" is German for "room". That is one luxurious room.

There is a RV dealer in West Rutland, Vermont that sells a line of new retro-style
Travel Trailers that are real eye candy...prices are not bad either...do not remember the brand name...but very cool ! They do not have the deluxe interior appointments that this one has...looks better than most homes I have been in ! Must weigh a few tons +.

One word: AWESOME !!!

That would make a cool home base with a small egg for a guest house and for travels. I'd hate to drag that thing around the country. You'd have to overcome age restrictions in a lot of RV parks. Or have your own zoning-friendly property.

I never go to those RV parks with age restrictions. They're not my style. So I'd be safe.

Oh well, unless Santa comes through someday...

Here's my "new" vintage project.

1958 Airstream 22 ft "World Traveler" with "International Interior".

1 of 4 produced.

I always loved the door in a door on the older ones.

Cool, that ought to keep you off the streets and out of trouble for a while. Might sop up any loose cash you have too!
