Trailer: 2002 Casita Freedom Deluxe / 2007 Nissan Frontier King Cab

Well, my old Nissan Frontier was, by far, the single best vehicle I've ever owned. It was reliable and perfect for the job of pulling my Casita.

However, after 153K miles, we were thinking it was time to get a new truck. Strangely, the day we drove it in to complete the deal, the power steering sprang a leak!

After shopping for weeks, we ended up buying another Nissan Frontier. This one was an almost-new 2007. Unlike the older model, this one is a king cab with a short bed. Like the 1999, it's four-wheel drive. Since we camp often in out of the way National Forest sites, we've found that four-wheel drive is indespenisble. It was a must feature for us.

The larger cab is great. The engine on the new truck is much more powerful than the old one, and we're looking forward to taking the trailer out as soon as possible.

Good for you, Bob! Great truck. The Frontier was on my very short list as well. There's a lot to like about them. The interiors are VERY nice indeed! The Frontier's 6100 lb tow capacity wasn't quite enough for what I needed, so I ended up with an '07 Titan.

We looked at a Titan, also. In fact, we shopped for weeks. At one point we seriously considered a brand new 2007 Titan that was still unsold on a lot. But we opted for the Frontier. If I ever buy a Scamp 5th wheel, we'll go with a Titan or a Tundra. But that's years away.
