We finally ordered our new Scamp today. We went for a 13ft even though we were talking about a 16 ft. I saw Des and Diane's Boler this weekend past and that convinced me that a 13 would do the job. The Dogs can sleep on a bunk. We will be getting it in late May.

Enjoy your new Scamp!!
My aunt and uncle towed their little Scamp around Minnesota for over 15 years, and enjoyed it immensely.
Happy Scamping!

Thanks everyone. We are now looking at getting a screened in tent ( an easy up?) and other necessary camping gear. Already got the dutch ovens.

Personally I would nix the "easy up" and order the awning with the Scamp.

Easy up, not so much!

Sandy I would recommend the easy up. If you shop a little you can find one that has mosquito netting and also a full fabric tent like situation with windows which makes it really versatile and handy for rainy days. In my opinion the easy up does everything the awning will do and more for less money. The easy up can also be really handy if you are just going to a nearby park or beach for a picnic ! Lee

When we ordered our Scamp, we ordered it with the awning...which we never use! That Scamp awning is not very user friendly, so we use our EZ-up with screens and love it!
So much depends on how you travel...the EZ-up takes a lot of room (we tow with a truck so just carry it in the back) and is heavy. Never had a problem putting it up, though...have even done it alone a time or two.

We are going to call the trailer "Too Eggtravagant". I hope that name has not been taken. We will be looking around for an EZ-UP. The spring stuff should be coming out up here soon. Thanks for all the information and good wishes .

Welcome to fold!

Our dogs enjoy the coziness of sleeping below the big bed. It's turned into their cave. As far as a pop-up check out the one made by Clam, the fish house folks. I think we got ours from Amazon. It is very good quality and is the easiest to go up. What sold me was when I saw a fourteen year old kid put it up in about two minutes! If there is anything negative about it is the poles are stout so there is some wieght associated with that.

We have the Clam 660 screen room. We love it, the dog loves it more. Plenty of room for her to move around. It is very nice to be off leash with her without worry, We go around our site without her being attached to us. When we are doing something in the camper and room is tight, it is nice to know she is safe in the screen room and at the same time we keep our eyes on her. The clam is a little pricey and large, but we put it in the camper floor when in tow. Carl
