The weather has been great for making maple syrup. This could be a very good year for the stuff here in the NorthEast

Got to look for the silver lining

The sap hasn't run here in a week No syrup making. Lots of knitting. And staring out at the snowed-in Trill.

Sunny, yes! Cold, yes! Windy, yes! There are a few dents in the snow where we know the vernal springs are, but that's about it for Springtime in central Vermont, thus far. Sigh.

Ray N., your photo brought tears to m'eyes.

Although we had some frost this morning (every little bit of moisture helps the rain barrels), it continues to be hot, dry, and windy here in Central West Texas. Most of the state is under an outside burn ban. All the counties west of I-35 have red flag warnings for potential grass fires. Surprisingly, many wild fires are caused by sparks from dragging safety chains on trailers of all kinds. Please check your chains every time you stop or better, use positive lock hooks or connectors.
I noticed a couple of eagles cruising over head yesterday looking for a snack before heading north. Spring is here.

The weather man in Odessa is looking for mid 90's today, that's 200 miles N.E. of me so i will probably be 100+, not good for fiberglass repair.

You just have to work about ten times faster and then you might not make it.

I think we're going to get a break in the rain - at last! We're having weird weather - after a week and a half of rain, it was 80 on Thursday, 70 on Friday, and in the mid 60's yesterday and today. We're cleaning and stocking our new to us Casita - woohoo for the dollar store!

Yesterday we broke a temperature record at 84 degrees. Today we had snow and the temperature dropped all day. The EggCamper is sitting in the backyard looking dejected.
