Webmaster, please don't read this!

Ok, please understand that this is not a manditory thing ... and please also understand that no one, especially our webmaster Michael is keeping track.

But it dawns on me, that there is no such thing as a free lunch.

I think it would be appropriate if we all ... posters and lurkers alike ... sent our webmaster Michael Sanders a little contribution to help defray the costs of running this website.

Your contribution doesn't have to be much ... as I said, no one is keeping score anyway ... and if money is tight, well, I know Michael would just appreciate getting a note of thanks in a Christmas card or something.

As you may or may not know, in addition to the regular expense of maintaining a website, Michael ... at his own expense ... hired a computer programmer to work out some of the bugs in the website software ... and also hired the programmer to enable us to easily upload pictures.

At last count, he'd spent more than US$600 on the computer programming alone ... not to mention the regular expense of running and maintaining an internet website.

I think we need to help with the expense.

In the spirit of holiday giving, I strongly urge you to send Michael a note of appreciation ... and a small check ... to the following address:

Mr. Michael Sanders
Fiberglass RV webmaster
PO Box 844
Atascadero, CA 93422

I know I appreciate all the good work he has done to provide us with a safe, sane, well-monitored website.

I also know I'm addicted ... so please, everyone, please consider sending Michael a little something to help with the expense of running this website.

Do it now ... otherwise you might forget!

Michael, I also know you're reading this. And I know this "public appeal" embarasses you. Please don't delete my message. There is no reason for you to bear all of the expense.

PS -- Michael's wife works in a bank ... so I know Canadian checks are just as good as US checks ... so get those cards and donations in the mail today!

Good Idea, Charles

Thanks for bringing this up. I especially appreciate the postal address!

And you are so right about being addicted to this place... Last week when the site was down for a few hours, I discovered just how hopeless I've become! :wub

Bumping up

Bumping this up so that those Fiberglass RV'ers, returning from Thanksgiving celebrations far a field, with bellies full of turkey, will read ... and perhaps help us all give thanks to Webmaster Michael.

This is one of the most stable (from a computer programming point of view) websites I've ever frequented.

Its user interface and ease of operation speaks of Michael's commitment to making this a fun place for us all to play.

I don't think it's fair that he bears all the expense ... so let's give credit where credit it due!

(This has been a paid commerical announcement, paid for by the Friends of Michael foundation, Dunlap, IL)

Thanks Chuck

I am happy to be back in time to support Charles' effort to keep this page going by supporting Mike's and Lori's efforts. I don't want the expenses of running this site to cut into Lori's cinnimon role budget. My role historically, is to squeeze the skinflints out there and try to get some universal participation. I hope I can help. Some of you may remember me as the guy with no tact whatsoever. :wave

Hi Roland

Hi Roland! Glad to see you here! Also glad you solved your log-on problems.

Did you check out Michael's "home" page by clicking the icon above ... and see the spiffy picture of a Bigfoot?

Bump

Bumping this to the top.

Come on, folks! You know you are addicted to this site ... even if you rarely if ever post!

Let's help Michael re-coop some of the cost of starting up this new website!

I am absolutely amazed at the "brain trust" of folks who are already attracted to Fiberglassrv.com.

Whether you want to rebuild a 30 year old rig ... or ask someone a question about the latest model of any molded fiberglass travel trailer ... this is the place on the world wide web.

But I know Michael's spent more than $600 out of his own pocket for custom programming, so that this website runs smoothly.

In the Christmas spirit, at least send him a small donation (US or Canada checks ok!) or a card of thanks (maybe a fruit cake?)!

Come on Folks!

Tis the season for giving!

And you know you love this site!

Send Michael a christmas card (and a check for a few bucks, if you can swing it!).

Alright ... time's almost up!

Alright folks!

Times almost up!

Come on! If you mail something today or tomorrow ... Webmaster Michael will get it in time for Christmas!

Send a Christmas card and a small check (if possible) to:

Mr. Michael Sanders
Fiberglass RV webmaster
PO Box 844
Atascadero, CA 93422

There is no reason why Michael should have to shoulder the entire expense of this website!

If everyone just gave a little ... well, we'd be insured a place to play!

:wave THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

I don’t know what to say. You all have been so generous; it is truly overwhelming. I am so grateful for your cards and notes of appreciation for this site. We have really just begun.

We launched this site October 1st, 2002. We have 354 members and many many more guests each day. The number of posts, in only three months, is up to 7428. Now that is impressive. (Take out all of Charles and we’re still over 7,000 :lol ) We are currently averaging 6,200 unique IP addresses every month. We have gone straight to the top of Google search engine on the first page. Have you noticed how Google’s IP address has over 145 guests logins every night cataloging our pages? From my web designer side, what a kick.

The thing that is most appreciated though, is the thoughtful, pleasant, attitudes that make up the people of this site. You all have made working on this site fun. Thank you very much.

For those of you that have made a financial contribution, I want you to know that it has all gone back into extra programming for this site. Thank You. There are a few more things that I think will help make this site work better for those that are new to computers, and we will continue to work on that. Thank you for sharing in support of this site.

Merry Christmas to everyone,
Michael Sanders - webguy

I finally got off my duff

There are not a lot of sites on line that I feel the need to contribute to - but I play here so much. The payment has been sent.

Keep up the good work Michael - :)

feel a bit better

Well at first I thought... great... I'm a lowlife loser... Here I am enjoying this site so much and I never saw a posting for an address to donate to... then I noticed the dates... the last posting before the 5/5/03 was three weeks before I was lucky enough to find this gem of a website.

This is one of the best sites I have ever had the pleasure of interacting on. Everyone here is extremely helpful, knowlegable, and nice. Working for the government, it's a nice change from the grind when I get home :)

Check is going in the mail first thing tomorrow. Thank you Michael, and everyone else here! Y'all are great!:thumb
