Carl---I love that door knocker! I like where you put it, but others may have ideas, too. Since I like all things rusty (natural) I like it in its present state.

I use those little LED lights all the time--I put one over my toilet paper holder for a night light.

When I was decorating "Bean" I bought everything coffee I saw! (Don't tell hubby)---then I had to see what I could use. You should see my stash of fabric! I could stock a store!

Happy glamping!

I can understand that. I saw tons of stuff I might have bought if it were for the house.
But with the Snoozy, everything has to be a bit miniature............lol

tape for a picture. I think I really want to clean it up and paint it before I put it
up permanently whether inside or outside. Where would you put it?
And do you think painting it would make it look tacky?
I'm getting a lot of brown...........LOL
No wonder your feet hurt. I'm a seasoned shopper and that would take a real toll on me. I like the rust look but I don't think it would tacky to paint it. If you leave it rusty though, I'd spray it with a clear coat. I think that spot looks great too, but would think about other spots too...maybe the bathroom door?? Great job in your pursuit to jazz up the Snooz.

Actually, the more I look at it that's where I thought it will look best.
And I do know I would paint it to genuine (tacky) paint scheme.....lol.

I like subtle things that blend together.
Many items making one whole and not drawing attention to itself.
If that makes any sense.

Thanks Linda. That's a good tip about the clear coat.
I have my eye on a few things for the bathroom door......lol
(shhhhhhhhh) It's a secret for now. That will have to wait for
another pay day........lol. Moving it about is also why I taped
it up there for now. When my other items arrive I'll move it
around and see which "nook" fits best.

[No wonder your feet hurt. I'm a seasoned shopper and that would take a real toll on me.]

I use the shopping carts as a walker of sorts...........lol.
Before I could not have managed it, but I have lost 20 pounds
and it really makes a difference.

I don't know that I like antique shops. I saw so many things I bought new
or had growing up. And now they're in an antique shop? What's that say
about me? One of the shops I saw a couple plagues that were not really
painted at all. Kinda took me aback. Because I have two of them on the
bedroom wall I painted decades ago.........lol. Wife has been hanging on
to them. I still have the molds of that and many, many more.
I used metallic wax that you rubbed on with your fingers.

Well, I think I would use the knocker inside. We had a great Mickey Mouse one on our door on our last house and someone took it. It was not attached down solid enough but still, I suppose they would probably have damaged the door to get it off. Anything nice, someone else always wants it.

This Snoozy shopping is really going to get you in shape! I suppose your feet "sing" for awhile after the shopping is done.

Those stores sound great! Seems you are having a great time with this and you know, it is so great to read that someone has found something they enjoy and that gets them out. SO many people today just, well, sit and complain. Love your upbeat posts! Keep them coming.

Thanks Cathy.
That makes a whole lot of sense. Not to mention on the back end where my
door is, I'd hate to lose it going down the road.

And yes, my feet are "singing."
Today is my 64th birthday so I told the wife I wanted to go to A to Z in Alma, Ark.

While down there I decided to check out the Camp Ground where the RIVER VALLEY
EGG RALLY is going to be this September. It was not at all as I remembered it. lol.
Found my spot and found BAMA's spot. After I circled the camp ground 3 times my
memory began to recognize the place........lol.

While I was at it I set my odometer to see how far it was on Hiway 59 down there
and when we came back I set the odometer to see how far it was back on I-540.
There's a about 15 miles difference so it doesn't matter much which way I go. It's 90 some miles one way and a bit over 100 miles the other.

A to Z had plenty of stuff to look at. But Saturday is not a good day to go if you
want to go up one isle and down the next. They had a few things I could have used,
but they are not cheap any more. So I came home empty handed.

Stopped at another Walmart and found a blanket like I used when on ship.
The issue was a wool blanket, but when they made me "donate" a month as
compartment cleaner, I swiped a blanket from the Chief's quarters......lol.
This blanket is very similar. It's all one color. They had white, baby blue, and
a light brown (tan). I bought the tan one as it was what the Chief blanket was.
100% cotton. And if you've slept under a wool blanket and a cotton blanket, you
will know the difference. I was surprised I never got in trouble when they did
bunk inspections. hahahaha. Thought I would try it as you ladies suggested a
solid color to offset the busy patterns so far. Still not finding anything for the
other two windows as yet. I did find another vinyl table cloth. Wife asked why
I wanted another table cloth. I told her it was marked down to a dollar and it
has seashells on it. Maybe another theme later.......lol. Also another storage
basket to fit my Snoozy cabinet that the other Walmart didn't have and some
wire storage racks for behind the cabinet doors.

I think I may have forgotten, I also went through a Dollar Tree yesterday.
That makes six stores......................and I think I actually lost two more pounds.

Happy Be-lated Birthday! We like Dollar Tree and just got a store here. Since we are trying to downsize, it is constant struggle when we go to such stores though.

Also, I notice you have 3 people and wonder if you all sleep comfortably. We have a son with Down syndrome who will be 27 next month and he loves "big campers" which is anything not a tent which he loves too.

It seems like you are very pleased with your trailer and not having issues. The extra width would be good if more than one person was up at a time or stepping over a lazy dog. Also, it looks easier to keep clean than some of the others.

I was over at the Lil' Snoozy forum looking at the photos too.

Thank You Cathy..........

Our daughter (adopted at birth) is 21 years old now.
She is mentally challenged (PC for retarded) from having Prater Willie.
A few physical issues and mentally just cannot learn to read or write.
Other wise a very caring daughter. We sleep on the queen bed and she
sleeps on the couch. Even with growth hormones she is pretty short, so
the couch suits her fine.

This is her when we were at the factory.
Testing Couch/Bed

This is me at home checking it out for comparison (I'm 6').
Example of Adult on Couch

I think the simplicity of it all is what drew me to it.
Like all searchers, each one gets to be at the top of the list for a while
until you finally have to make that last decision. I went more by my
"needs" list than my want list........lol. So wound up at the Snoozy factory.

Bigger would be better with grandkids but we've never been camping with
them before for one reason or another and if we ever do, we also have a
very large "tent" that I can take and set up. McDenny has a Snoozy for him
and his wife which he designed their own sleeping arrangement. Working great
for him but I've read where he's also looking for an Airstream for when they
take their grandkids.

This is from Denny's blog:
http://wanderingourway.wordpress.com...1/#comment-136

So far our toilet set-up is working out fine for us. Snoozy is flexible with the
interior designs.

Oh, went outside to the Snoozy last night to take some stuff out there
to get it off the kitchen table.....LOL. My door knocker is still hanging
on the cabinet door. I just knew that it would be laying in the floor.....LOL.

And I got a great brainstorm as well.........
I only paid $1.80 for it so I could get another one next time I'm in that area
if they still have them and could keep one rusty and paint the other. Then I
could make up my mind which I like better. Or interchange them from time
to time. Wish I'd a thunk of it when I was there..............

What's your Snoozy going to weigh when you get done?

That will be interesting to find out.
But all my "accessories" are carried in the back of the pickup.
So the do-dads won't make that much difference. .... I hope.

Here's another idea for bedding and curtains. You might find sheet sets that you like. Someone handy with sewing could make them into comforter with matching curtains and pillowcases. You can also look for "Bed in a Bag" options (especially now that college season is starting soon). You get a comforter, sheets, pillowcases, sham and bed skirt. This should provide you with enough coordinating fabric to make all the coordinated bedding, pillows and curtains you like. Here's a design you might like Mainstays Ombre Bed in a Bag, Tan - Walmart.com. Note: I don't necessarily promote Walmart. Choice of vendor is totally up to you.

Here's an idea for a snazzy or any egg camper. These are the right size for a hen house. Makes me think I should have grabbed that old Casita I saw recently.

Or perhaps a dog house. I thought about making my nieces wrecked Volvo into a dog house. Give a dog a window to look out and they are happy.

Last night wife sent me on a "honey-do."
We have a Family Dollar and Dollar General next door to each other in the next town.

I got a couple small trays at one and a set of magnets at the other.
You never know what you will find until you do the foot work.

Here's the trays on the table:

Here's the magnets where would be the "logical" place for them - on the fridge:

I cut some strips of double-sided tape just to see what they would look like on the
cabinet door below the door knocker:

You seem to be on a roll! It seems every time I pick a theme, I can't find items that cooperate with that theme. Once I wanted a "chicken" theme, barnyard not KFC and it seems everyone had chicken stuff until I put on the wallpaper with my little chickens and then, nothing but this was pre-web days.

And again, I really did appreciate the trouble you went to in providing info on the bed sizes.
