What is it?

Am camping in Scarborough Maine, at the Wild Duck Campground and this place is a veritable nest of eggs! There's our 13ft Scamp, two Casitas and a very old unidentifiable fg trailer. There is no name on it but there is a "manufactured in Dallas, Texas" metal plate. Strange thing is, the seam is vertical, up the front, across the top to the back and down the back. Anyone know what it could be? It looks smaller than my scamp

I was first thinking maybe a Cloud, but those were manufactured in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

Hummmmm.

Vertical seam normally indicates a UHaul or Burro. But I wasn't aware that either was manufactured in Texas at any time. Burro was San Diego, but they also sold 'kit' trailers for people to take home and finish. Maybe its one of those? I looked up photos of Cloud trailer. They look like the twin to Burros. Photos would sure help

Sorry. I didn't take pictures when I first saw it and when we got back this afternoon, they were packed up and gone. Next time I'll be quicker!

One more detail, the chassis appeared to be constructed of bent metal tubing and there was a third wheel under the hitch.

UHaul has a tubular steel frame and a vertical seam with a cast metal wheel on the hitch jack. Take a look at UHauls in the photo section.

Thanks! I'd say that's it. It was looking pretty worn out on the outside. I hope for the sake of the occupant that it was in better shape inside, but, hey, it's being used! That's all that's important.
