What makes a Trillium 4500 a "Deluxe"???
Until I saw an ad here for one I didn't know there was/is such a thing as a "Deluxe" Trillium 4500. No pics posted with the ad, so no illuminating info there...
Can anyone fill me in as to what "deluxe" means when it comes to this trailer?
Thanks!

There is a brochure in the document center that talks of two interior options, deluxe and custom. Deluxe has a "shag" carpet. Sounds like a 70's thing to me . Raz

This is just my impression, but I see a group of options as a package that they I call Delux:
The shelves front and back
A window, that opens, in the door.
Large fridge
Table with a leaf
Three burner stove, (actually the 2 burner is kinda rare in a 4500)
Awning?
Anything else? I did not realize that it included shag. I wonder how many trailer have the original shag?

And To think I always thought I only had the "Super Duper" model!
I guess it's really a "Deluxe", or will be as soon as I install shag carpeting...
Thanks for the replies, guys!

Oooo...and sadly I actually remember 'raking' our new, orange shag living room rug. Luxurious back in the 70s but a realy pain to keep looking nice.

Keep in mind Francesca that the shag you put in has to be orange in order to make it Deluxe!! none of that modern white or beige stuff

Hmmm...if memory serves there were also a very drab avocado green and a dark chocolate (drive you nuts with dirt specks) brown that were very popular in the 70s in case you really dislike orange.

Thank you for the giggles and the trip down Memory Lane. I'll be thinking of velvet 'art' for the rest of the day now!

Look at me- I'm talking to myself!
David posted some ad links today, and one of those trailers looks like it might be at least a partial answer to my oh-so-important question!
There's a Trillium up for sale in Prince George with an unusual trim color scheme, no trailer name, and no window in the door:
Trillium travel trailer - Prince George Travel Trailers, Campers For Sale - Kijiji Prince George Canada.
It does appear to be a first-generation trailer, though...Is it possible that the above trailer is the "Regular" model, and the Blue-trimmed, window-in-door model below that I'm most familiar with is the "Deluxe"?
Francesca
P.S.
No info as to presence/not presence of shag carpeting in either one...
F.

Francesca,
I have been looking at the Prince George unit for a while. It is only a 7 hour drive from me. I agree, the colour is strange, they don't say what year it is. I would love to see some interior shots. Not what I would call a Deluxe, but the price is good. Once I find a source for the door window, I think turning this into a reasonable facsimile of a Deluxe would be possible.
Where is the other trailer from? While it has the standard blue colour, the window in the door doesn't open. I see this on 1300 trailers quite often, but I suspect that this one is also not a Deluxe. Nice Ranger rims.
There is one for sale in Lethbridge, a three hour drive from me. It is too expensive, so I have not posted it in the referrals section.
1976 Trillium 4500 - Alberta Travel Trailers, Campers For Sale - Kijiji Alberta Canada.
I consider this a classic example of a 4500 Deluxe.
The door window opens.
There are shelves front and back
The fridge is large
There is a furnace
The table has a leaf
There is probably a 120VAC to 12VDC converter.
There are also probably drawers under the seats of the dinette.
It also has a 4" square bumper. I think this was an option to carry the poles for the awning. This may be part of the Deluxe package. I notice that yours has this as well.
While not part of the Deluxe package, it also has an upper bunk bar.
