What year did Scamp start putting fabric on walls?
I am looking at buying another Scamp so I can leave it at my brother's cabin & use my 93 Scamp for our trips. The one I am looking to buy now is a 83 model but I haven't seen the inside. Did the 83 model have the fabric/insulation on the inside? Thanks

I *think* an '83 would have Ensolite walls. I'm sure someone will pinpoint it better, but if memory serves it was '85 or maybe '86 that they went to "rat fur."

You the man Floyd! My 1988 has rat fur, so I knew it was before that.

My own S16, titled as an '85, has the fuzzy tan material that I prefer to call "mouse fur." It's held up very well to 3.5 decades use.

No doubt that what you say is true, since Scamp does not produce or introduce model years per se, but rather titles them by the date finished.

Wait until you get older, you will lose a score of years, then a quarter century, then half a century!
