Wheel Estate - AirBnB for RV's

A Canadian start up for those thinking of renting their trailers, or wanting to rent.

Video "news" story: Wheel Estate is basically Airbnb for RVs : The Loop

Web site: https://wheelestate.ca/

Don't see any FG trailers yet ... but there are only 66 listed at time of posting.

That looks like an interesting setup. I am not about to rent out my trailer, but I bet a lot of those folks that have one they only use a couple times a year would love a return on their investment. It seems this company has arranged all the necessary insurance, which is a smart move.

It would be interesting to hear what Mikmay has to say. IIRC his son was renting trailers out in California.

Looks interesting Roy ,while we do get rentals through Airbnb this might be a better set up for us. I will send the link to Derek for his thoughts on it.

Uhaul tried this in the 80s only to stop after a short time.

I skimmed through the site Mike - it will require a closer look. I noticed a 10% charge to the renter on booking - not sure if that is just for a deposit or if that is addition to the 25% commission charged to the owner on rental.

How does it work for AirBnB?

Corky, one major difference though - Uhaul owned the trailers - these guys are merely facilitating the rentals for owners.
