Where to keep gas can & generator

Where do you all keep your spare gas can and generator while traveling? I have a Trailblazer and I don't want to keep it in the vehicle or in the camper. I can't stand the smell of gas.

Generator is a Honda 1000 and it rides in the aisle in the trailer. The gas filler cap has a lever to close the vent hole so no gas fumes are emitted. At camp, if not in use, it goes in the back of the RAV or chained to the rear bumper.
Gas can is in my storage box with hoses, axes etc. on the rear bumper. It does smell sometimes.

I installed a two inch hitch reciever to the rear of the unit. Just need to make sure it's attached to the frame. Then I carry a hitch carrier on the rear.

Should clarify. I have 2" hitch receiver and cargo carrier, with box on top.

I travel with my generator in the doorway...between the galley and the closet...it fits nicely in there and is heavy enough it doesn't move. The gas can I stick in the bed of my truck, or when I had the rav4 I put it on the tongue bungied down.

oh and I either run the gas tank dry, or use the fuel shutoff on my Yamaha ef 2400 and let it run all the gas out of the carb....thus no gas smell inside.
