Which trailer do you regret selling?

Our 13’ had the front bunks/sofa, totally basic. I installed an a/c in the closet over the starboard wheel well. No awning (we always packed a 10x10 e-z-up). We wanted just a little more space, so traded it for a Casita 17’ with all the bells/whistles. But we longed for the lightweight basicness of the little egg, so traded the Casita for our current S16. Perfect. Our S16 is the one that “exploded” in Wichita, KS, and I did a total restore after acquiring it from PO. It’s now better’n new.

Our Trillium 5500.
It was old (over 30 years), it leaked (just a bit), it needed copious attention that I was singularly unqualified to shower upon it - but nonetheless willingly did - and, possibly worst of all, Herself was unhappy with the porta-potti that had been put in by a prior owner who had ripped out her fine plumbing.
Windows to die for, all the way 'round. Cabinets EVERYWHERE. It bounced along uncomplainingly on that squeaky old torsion axle even in the most pitted of places. I could never get a good shine on the surface - but I knew it was in there somewhere, so I kept trying. We towed her fron Canada to the keys and points west, never fee3ling at all concerned about our protection from the weather or her capacity to make it home.
Then, one day, we had someone make us an offer on a new (!) trailer with a FLUSHING TOILET! I knew we were committed when Herself dwelled on that singular feature. (Well, that and the fact I'd not be climbingt over Her to get into bed each night.)
I gussied up the Trillium (The Pearl for those old hands here) and sold her to a fella over in Raleigh. Last I heard, she was in Florida. There was a picture on this site not long ago.
I hope anyone who travels in the old Pearl enjoys her comfortable confines half as much as we did. And while I do regret selling her along, I also envy, just a bit, the family she shares adventures with now.

We had a 1977 13 foot Trillium and sold it... We haven't owned many trailers (3) but that Trillium was a gem... probably still is... Great window designs, construction, etc etc etc...

Yup. The Pearl was actually our SECOND Triilium. The first was a 1978 4500 (Egbert).
That 15 footer ended up in Alabama. The day after selling it, I drove from Miami to Pennsylvania to take possession of the Pearl at a rest area on I-81 from the fella from Thunder Bay who did the "export" job for us.

I didn't know about your Wichita, KS ordeal.
I love the 16' Scamp very much. I took this photo just yesterday sitting inside of it parked in my driveway.

I don't think I've seen a Scamp with the center bath. I'd like to. I had that design on my 17 ft Bigfoot and again now on my Escape. Having the cabin open from end to end and windows on both ends gives it a more spacious feeling that I like.
And I'll chime in with some of the others with some comments.
Someone commented on Casitas having too high tongue weight but that's only on the 17'. The 16' has a light tongue weight to the point you shouldn't add anything to the back bumper without compensating on the front to avoid sway problems. Not even a bike rack. I pulled my 16 ft Casita with a RAV4, also rated at 3500 lb tow and it was great, so a Scamp should be fine.

I like the side bath as well. Here is a shot of the sofa/bunkbeds at the other end. The trade-off is the bath is smaller.

The only thing I can say is, we picked up our Escape 21 on October 12th 2016 since that time we have lived in it 500 days, roughly 30,000 miles on her and only 3 problems. Water heater problem that I figured out myself, our 6 lb Yorkie jumped through the screen door and ripped the right hand bottom corner which I will replace this summer, and darn it! We finally have to replace our tires before we head home in March . That’s it. Wash it as needed, wax it twice a year with 2 coats applied to the top each time. Check around the vents and things 2 x per year. Wheel bearings and brake service every 10,000. This summer I plan on resealing around things weather it needs it or not.
Of our 3 stickies, only the first one didn’t give us problems. An Aliner. The second one delaminated on the side in 8 months. The third one “ The Sieve” leaked from day one. By the time we sold it, at a 75% loss, it had so much Profelx, silicone, putty, you name it on it that it was probably over GVW before we put anything in it. Just kidding of course on the weight, but that’s my experience.

I saw an Escape 21 at a rally and I was impressed with the layout and openness of the trailer. If I had a bigger tow vehicle, I wouldn't hesitate looking for one like yours. I'm glad it has given you great service.

Because that's such a common problem with that screen, dogs, kids, clumsy old men like me, one of the first things I added to my Escalpe was the screen door grill available from most RV supply companies. It has more than paid for itself.

As much as people around the country are clamoring for egg campers of any configuration, you might consider it a public service to relinquish one! They're not going to appreciate in value - though they won't particularly lose value either. Unless you're going to start an egg museum, I don't see the point of keeping all 3. One small and light and one larger seems not unreasonable.

Yes, but which? That was the question. The two larger are both recent acquisitions. I think it makes sense to keep and use all three. Eventually I suspect one or two will rise to the top as the go-to choice(s). I’m going to predict the Scamp 16D will be among the keepers. [emoji16]

JDeBox, I think Jon nailed it. The Scamp 16D will be among the keepers.
I have sentimental value with the 13 Standard, so the only one that could go would be the Casita.

I paid the most for the Casita, but it has the most boon docking capabilities. Until I give the Casita a chance I will keep them all.

If you enjoy them, if only going out and sitting in one in the yard with a beverage, reading a book, listening to music or the birds is all you do with all or one of them, keep them all! If there is a point where you need to get rid of one, then return to this discussion, otherwise, enjoy! If something gives you pleasure/joy, hang onto it for as long as you can.
