My 13 is The Shady Bush II.. long story from my teenage years.

The 17 foot is the McMansion because after many years in a 13, it seems like I have moved up to a mansion.

and it's "to go."

The 13' Play-Mor we sold was The Brown Egg because it was the color of a brown egg. The Casita has not been named yet. Why? I told the hubby he could name it and I guess it is a man thing that he has to wait and see what fits it.

My Casita 17' SD was called the "Deer Blind". Last year on a deer hunting trip I used it as a base camp for a week. It was cold wet and nasty that week. Most mornings instead of hunting I set in the Casita and drank coffee instead of hunting. My buddies got to telling me my Casita got more use than my deer blind and that I needed to keep a window open to shoot out of.

Morning All, Our Fiber Stream is named after her real Mother, who's birthday is Today, as a matter of fact!! We call her "Little Ruthie". She was one ,if not the last one to be made before Fiber Streams were no more, in 1986.
By the way, nice new rig to you Gina!!
Via Con Dios
Randy and Renee
P.S. Mom and Dad bought her new,and towed her all across the U.S.,Canada and Mexico and Baja. Hope we can do the same some day!! Right now, it's off to work, like many of you, so we can hopefully retire someday, and do some serious traveling.

On our maiden camping voyage to Grayland Beach SP on the Wa coast we discovered were just a couple of spots down from an ex military gentleman that lives about 5 min from our home.
He came over to retrieve his grandaughter one evening and saw the scamp, first thing out of his mouth "is it a rental unit?" I thought my husband was going to choke on his cocktail. My husband assumed he meant that of course we wouldn't actually OWN one. By the look on the gentlemans face I still believe that.
Evidently the military bases (we have 3 in our immediate area--Bremerton, Wa) in the late 70's early 80's had quite a few for rent to military personnel. I wonder where they are now?

So, my husband has dubbed it "rental unit" soon to be pinstriped on the back window
-in the corner, small, if I have my way

I still call it "camp scamp"

Jackie, a lot of the Air Force Bases have now gotten Casitas to rent out, not sure if they are 13' or 16', I believe 16' from what my son mentioned. This will be second or third year that I am aware.

Much better than the A-Liners and tent trailers.

I called the "little Bigfoot" "the Beast". I'm having some difficulty naming the 25'. I'm thinking about "She Who Must Be Obeyed" in honor of... well... uh... ummm... "She Who Must Not Be Named."

We call our 25' is Ms Yeti and we were able to get personalized Virginia plates with "MS YETI"

Talking

When we found our Trillium 5500 a few years ago, we traveled more than a thousand miles to get it. That trip and that trailer were our thirtieth anniversary gift to each other.

So naturally herself christened our new toy the "Pearl".

I wonder which anniversary is "Eggs"?

, we almost immediately starting searching for our next trailer. So started our journey for "Finding NEMO". We found the UNIK, which looked like a derelict barge to me on first sight. The lap board fiberglass bottom reminded me of a bass boat. The front bubble windows soon became "aquariums" for the 'pet' fish; it got a fresh-water blue coat of paint, and NEMO was born !

Our Casita has a name. When we picked up our "new to us" egg a few weeks ago, I told hubby he could name it. He finally announced last night that her name would be Sanoma. We have three grandchildren, Sara, Noah, & Matt. He used the first two letters of each of their names.

ours is "one-eyed catsita," because we have a "port hole", therefore, and "eye" in the front of the shower so that we can see forward.

When Andrea and I were in Great Falls, MT last May, we stopped in the Sip 'n Dip there. It's a very, very famous bar, rated by GQ as one of the 5 bars you should travel to, just to go there. There are literally mermaids in a large glass walled swimming pool behind the bar. Very cool.

Anyway, it's a really surreal place. For live entertainment there is a this 80-something year old lady called 'Piano Pat' who has played in the Sip 'n Dip every night for over 40 years. She plays anything and everything you could possibly imagine. To tease her (or so we thought!) we asked her to play Elvis - sure enough, she did an 8-song Elvis medley!! I kid you not, it was awesome.

Right after that, she played Don Ho's 'Tiny Bubbles' and from then on, out of dear love and respect for Piano Pat, we called our trailer 'Tiny Bubbles' (or 'Bubbles') for short

If you are ever in Great Falls, please stop by the Sip 'n Dip (you won't regret it!) and say hi to Piano Pat. I guarantee you, she will play your song. Just be sure to tip her well - she's worth it.

Update : Andy asked if there was a website - there is. I have to correct myself : here is a direct quote :
"Named the #1 bar on earth by GQ Magazine!"

Funny how the mind works to give an inanimate object a human name of affection or scorn.

while talking "to" the trailer its of scorn, but talking "about" the trailer its the human name given with affection.
