Would the last one behind next weekend, turn out the light?

Do you realize how many people here are going camping next weekend? I am procrastinating on what I ought to be doing, but I tried to track how many were signed up for the 4 meets next weekend that I could find: the Northern California get-together, the Eggfest in LaCrosse, the wine rally at Niagra, and Glass Eggs Nor'West. As near as I can figure it, there will be around 100 at 3. I could not figure out the count for Glass Eggs.

Did I miss any?

I thought it might be fun to see who is going where and what fiberglass camper they had.

We are going to LaCrosse pulling our UHaul VT.

Oops, I forgot Colorado. I saw it, counted how many were going there as near as I could but missed it on my original posting. Sorry.

So make it 5 rallies this coming weekend.

GOTTA get that "one more" trip ini before the weather turns. lol

After the Burney Falls (Northern Calif), I think ours gets a "final" wash, wax and covered for the winter.

We have CHORES to do around the house this winter... we WERE thinking of heading to Florida for a winter escape (It gets FOGGY, DAMP and can DRIZZLE for a week here in Sacramento in the winter). The idea of Florida sun sounds nice - but... chores. Although, come to think of it, THAT stuff WILL wait. hmmmmmmmmmmm.... maybe when I cover it for the winter, I won't cinch it down TOO tight. lol

We will not be joining any rallies this weekend but we will be headed for Davis Mountains in West Texas. The days are warm and the nights are very cool. Take in a few hikes and watch the wild life. For the next two months we'll still be able to hang out here in Texas at different Parks, Inks Lake is next on the list after Davis Mountains. Enjoy!

> We got home Sunday night from the Lacrosse Eggfest.
> There was in excess of 50 trailers in attendance.
> While mostly Scamps, ther were several Casitas, a U-haul,a Bigfoot, and a
couple of S.O.B.s containing friends of fiberglass.
> The youngest trailer was a Scamp 13 deluxe which arrived at the Eggfest
directly from the factory on the same day as delivered.
> The oldest was a 1976 Scamp 13 which sported windows of the same type as used
on LoveBugs from the era.
> There were some remarkable trailers in attendance, but more importantly there
were nearly a hundred remarkable people there[and one old grouch].
> The weather was cool for the most part, with occasional rainshowers and a
constant dark cloud consisting of mosquitoes and gnats.
> With a generous spray of repellant the problem was mitigated so well that a
great time was had by all [except the old grouch].
> Lacrosse offers great fishing, beautiful scenery, and many activities, as
well as a most attractive downtown area.
> There was great musical talent on site, enjoyed by one of the best audiences
to be found anywhere.
> A special thanks goes out to our gracious hosts,Jim and Jonell Hovind, who
gave so much of their time and substance to making the event possible.

The PineKnot Rally starts Sept. 30, so it's two weekends away. There are 90 trailers registered. 74 Casitas, 5 Bigfeet, 4 Scamps, 1 Amerigo, 1 Love Bug, and 4 others (non-fiberglass). The weather looks great for Grapeland and I hope everybody has fun.

Well, Alf, I did not get to go. My university scheduled 2 meetings on Friday, so Kevin went without me. He said that there were over 50 campers at LaCrosse if I remember correctly. He said it was a nice outing, fun to be around the campfire and visit trailers and visit with their owners.

Retirement is just too far away!

Who was the grouch? We were four hours from LaCrosse though our home in Iowa is only an hour away this weekend enjoying the rain here also.
