Rare-SunRader 13' fiberglass 4X4 truck camper w/rear hatch

Not many of these fiberglass, slide in truck campers were produced by SunRader. This model has the unique and rare full rear panel hatch, creating a nice feeling of outdoor living with the added covered patio area. This floorplan is identical to the SunRader motorhome that was built on a late 70s Toyota chassis. Research also indicates that there were only approximately 50 SunRader motorhomes that were ever factory produced on 4x4 Toyota truck chassis (built during the mid 80s). This presents an opportunity to put this camper RV on any vintage or late model pick up of your choice (presuming it fits). This SunRader was purchased recently from a 90 year old gentleman in central Arizona, that has enjoyed it on his classic 1967 GMC truck since 1983. I will be delighted to answer any questions and details regarding amenities and condition of this SunRader. Prior owner had put a layer of clearcoat over entire exterior of this camper approximately 5-10 years ago. Clearcoat is flaking and peeling off camper. Also, the rear lower external sides were cut out 35 years ago, in order to custom fit this into the 1967 GMC truck. Offering this rare vintage, SunRader fiberglass truck camper for only $2995.

Thanks for the look. I wonder about that opening back ... how easy is it to heat? Does that unit have a shower?

Boardman, Thank you for getting some pics of your camper posted. Was having a challenge with getting camper pics attached. First time posting. Also, was not getting notifications of thread activity.

1977 SunRader camper

This SunRader slide in camper would be ultimately cool on a 4x4 or even a vintage pick up truck. It does have an enormous, over cab King sized bed/sleeping area. Lower dining area also converts to additional sleeping. Rear kitchen has an LP stovetop, oven and stainless steel sink. Original refridgerator has been removed. There is an evaporative cooler on the rooftop, as well as an extra added ceiling vent directly over the sleeping area. This camper does NOT have any bathroom or shower facility.

:sits and looks nice on the old Chevy truck, more suited to those years, also has the steps and a Man door not the whole back open and propped up.
I'm not quite ready to settle for something like this but I will be in Alaska end of May and for the month of June.
Then were off to the Calgary Stampede and our family reunion in Standard the week after.

I gutted the interior of mine so now it's more of a toy hauler. Great for hauling tools and fits 12' long lengths of lumber.
I spray foamed the interior and painted it with fire proof paint.
My son lived in it for 3 months in a mild Canadian winter.
Not a luxury rig but only 1000 pounds and 6' wide so it fits into narrow openings.
This is the first one that I've seen for sale in quite a while.
