13' Boler Square Footage

Anyone have the exterior sq. footage of these Bolers? I want to pick up paint to do top and bottom, two coats. The supplier will want to know the area needed to cover. I will do the three steel wheels to match, no door, but fridge and cupboard doors to compliment the exterior! Interlux Brightside is my choice. Thanks, folks!

10 ft long 7 ft. wide 6.5 ft high x 2 coats
less widows about 26 sq. ft.
That will be close enough to get you started.
Once you have used the product you'll get a feel as to weather
you need more or not.

Hey, thanks Fred. Have you painted a Boler and found these estimates to be fairly accurate?

Gee, Fred. So it is 455 minus 26?

Math.
10' long X 6.5' high is 65 sq. ft.
Math.
So, that's one side. Subtract windows, add the other three sides, and the roof.
Although, I did get a D in math 11.

10x6x3=180 for the 2 sides & roof, plus 6x6x2=72 for the front & rear, thats 252 minus about 16 for the front & back windows and 8 for the side windows gives you about 228 if I remember the measurements correctly on my 1971 Boler which worked out for fabric for wall coverings and should be about same for paint. I may have rounded those measurements to the nearest foot but I did not come up short, did buy a little extra though. YMMV

I see. So these measurements I believe are for the upper half only, since you stated "wall covering" measurements, yes? Almost double that to cover bottom half of shell, wheels, etc?

13' Boler Square Footage

Some of the calculations seem like we're forgetting the roof. Not sure about area of windows and vents, but subtract it before you double for two coats.

Perimeter x height (sides).
Add length x width (roof).
Subtract total area of windows and vents (calculate in inches and divide by 144).
Then double.
Add 10-20% for waste.

No that is for the entire shell, I forgot to mention I used that number for insulation, and subtracted for wall covering above the benches.
