What did you use for the window gaskets?

Mark, I haven't replaced the front and rear windows yet. Unless I find the rubber window gasketing locally, I will purchase it from the Scamp website. I have some ugly scratches on the plexiglass windows so I'm considering replacing them. I need to do some research as many plastics yellow in the sun over time.

Well I ended up purchasing the windows and rubber seals from Scamp. Although the body is nearly identical, the Pacer isn’t a Scamp and the windows didn’t fit perfectly. I found a great auto glass installer that could trim the plexi and install them perfectly. Click image for larger version

I’ve always loved cork flooring. I couldn’t afford to put it in my kitchen but I got it in my trailer. [emoji16]

Then I broke a side lite, drat! These are original. I saved it with copious amounts of super glue and luck. Click image for larger version

Bill, in my Pacer all the cabinets were riveted in except the closet which was all glassed. I drilled out the rivets and simply lifted the cabinets out. There were a few lateral fasteners between the rear bunk and closet and bunks and the kitchenette. They unscrewed easily.

In my Pacer the bottom of the coach is all fiberglass then there is 1/2” ply on top or inside. Originally the linoleum floor was glued to the plywood. I didn’t remove the ply wood. I may be wrong but It looks as though it is glassed to the bottom so it will be a hassle to remove the wood without damaging the fiber glass bottom. Having a fiber glass bottom is great as it’s all sealed. From what I’ve read, the older bolers had plywood bottoms that were prone to rotting out.

After the lower bunk cabinets were fitted, I started refurbishing the rear cabinet which holds the table. The cabinet frame is the only wood remaining from the original build. I recovered it and test fitted it with new swing arm table brackets. I ended up going back to the original post mount components as the swing arm hardware is unfinished and has somewhat sharp edges. I finished the shelf and mounted a fresh table top to keep with the natural material stying. Woo woo! Moving forward.

I was surprised by the sealed bottom as well. The existing floor is very delaminated from a leaking roof vent that’s since been replaced. If I purchase it I’ll probably have to use a grinder to get the last bit of old flooring out. The camper I looked at was a 1988, so building methods for the cabinets probably evolved over the years.

Thank you for your help. Your Pacer looks great!
